I used to use muc off chain oil, but for some time now I have been using an all weather natural base oil. But in general, muc off produces quality products.

Oh, so now we need a machine to bed our brake pads in for us? I wonder what brilliant idea humanity would come up with next, put an engine in a bike and have it move under its own power and... and... oh, wait, never mind, carry on everyone 😁
@Skooteh2 ай бұрын
lol, when I was a mechanic I would just do sprint efforts with the brakes on to bed them in. Worked great!

That's a great idea!

@@MJABRMECHANIC yeah, just put it in the lowest gear and rip it! I even successfully bedded in some (slightly) contaminated pads this way.

Alternatively. Find a big hill, freewheel down it holding the brake.

Whats this monstrous disaster the front brake being on the left. :O The horror. That should be illegal!
@MJABRMECHANIC2 ай бұрын
Dude, it’s MTB! The front brake should be on the left, not the right-this isn’t a motorcycle. 😁

@@MJABRMECHANIC Front is on the right, I know no-one who runs it on the left. Same as BMX, rear thats always on the left.

In America the front brake runs on the left side, the rear brake on the right

@@mtb416 I noticed that most MTB riders around the world use the front brake lever on the left side.

@@MJABRMECHANIC Correct. I’m right-handed and have no issue modulating the front on the left side. No wrong or right, just different.

Looks good.Why the fork was like that? Is it's working different?
@roflKartofflel2 ай бұрын
Upside down fork from Manitou, model name is Dorado. Same concept as on all motorcycle and especially MX forks. Pros and cons are a long list..
@faridshoolizadeh2 ай бұрын
why is the crankset of this bike designed in this way? 🤔🤔 i have also seen this design on Trek Slash bikes.
@MJABRMECHANIC2 ай бұрын
called High pivot systems have a long story, one that I’ll explain in detail.
@roflKartofflel2 ай бұрын
Major benefits and intentions of a high pivot suspension are elimination of pedal kickback and a different curve the rear wheel travels when hitting an obstacle. It moves backwards and upwards while LP systems make the wheel go forward and upwards. The bike rides smoother through rough and technical sections...
