A new Manics fact for me after 25 years of being a fan - the video for Design for Life was shot in that very building, the Roundhouse!

I bought the original and best Manic street preachers CD back in the day and i still enjoy its entirety to this day. I also bought the CD that this one was released on many moons ago and thought it was a throwback to their original creative genius....but they don't seem to rate it very highly themselves. Pity.

Is that the same bass player that they had back in the day (early 90s)? They look so different (then again I guess I do, too)

The genius of the manics will NEVER be diminished...however, this is SO far away from the rawness of the version you might see at the top of the suggested videos list. The addition of keyboards (an effing hammond organ!!) in the last decade or so has been awful.

Es muy triste la canción si la pones en el contexto de la enfermedad que padeció la madre de James Dean Bradfield, aunque siempre me ha intrigado la inclusión de las frases en japonés.

Seen the manics many times and there's no issues with them playing live, fantastic live performers. I think whoever put together the sound mix for this video made a total arse of it.

It’s sounds so flat and empty. It’s not the venue because it’s a great venue and lots of great performances have been recorded like the linkin park performance the same year.
