Punch or chisel the races out takes less than two minutes, if there no lip to hit with the punch or chisel. weld a bead on the race and punch or chisel the bead...Have done it a hundreds of times the last 45 years.

Just a few notes to assist anyone in the future when doing this repair. (1) Before dismantling take a pointed punch and punch marks on the sleeve and keyway where they align. This will identify the proper location of the retaining sleeve when reinstalling. (2) Supporting the housing @1:12 by the flange is a no no. I created a three piece housing when using this process as the flange broke off. Support directly under the bottom of the housing. (3) @12:50 bearing race removal; Mig weld all the way around the race and it will literally fall out. (4) Bearing race install @24:28 Use the removed race as an install tool. Using a belt sander grind down the original race to where it slides in and out of the bores easily. (5) @32:00 Remove that large spacer washer from the shaft. Install the lower bearing by using a piece of .875" tubing on the shaft before pressing the shaft back into the housing. This removes the stress placed on the bearing cone when reinstalling the shaft. (6) @39:28 Remove the grease fitting and check to see if the shoulder of the top seal is obstructing the grease passage. If so simply take a pin punch and a hammer and using the punch you bend the seal shoulder out of the way. Some replacement seals have longer shoulders. I hope this helps someone in the future. Thank you JR Maley for this video.

Thank you for this video! I have a Woods RM600 mower, but the spindle assembly looks nearly identical, gave me a really good idea if what I need to tackle.

So after 9 months how do you like this firearm? I heard the action is a little stiff.
@13maley Жыл бұрын
The action is smooth as butter. What took a little getting used to was having an ejector gun. It cocks the ejectors on closing. This video has a good description on how they work.: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gH-kpqKmZZd0g9k

Thumbs way up! I have 3 Turkish side by sides ( One being the Dickenson estate ) and I love them. I've killed deer, Turkey and a bunch of squirrel with my CZ Bobwhite. Plus shoot skeet with it ALL the time. Thousands of rounds. My Beretta Parelleo is my precious but the dickinson estate is 2nd for sure. People talked crap when Beretta 1st started Importing the Silver Pigeons and called them junk. They went from about $750.00 to an Easy 2 grand plus know for a Silver pigeon 1. I Think Turkish guns will be the same in the future.

Any update? Where did you find yours? Lastly, can you tell if the checkered butt has a removable center? My Dickinson Estate does, so you can remove the stock from the action or install a recoil reducer/weight if you want. I'm looking at the same gun, and I appreciate your up-close look.
@13maley Жыл бұрын
Yes, the center of the butt is removable, although you have to look really close because it blends in very well.

How are you liking the Dickinson shotgun? Didn't find many reviews on these online so took a chance and purchased the Green Wing the other day. It looked nice and was reasonably priced..most in the same price range didn't have ejectors.Waiting for it to arrive at my local FFL..
