I had a one on one with a CO just last week, and i was left unsatisfied with the responses i received in reference to the 144,000. My very good friend who is a theology major has been able to help me greatly. Im not baptized and was never very active in the congregation even as a child. However, i decided to return to Kingdom Hall when i was in a very tough spot. Now i realized that what i was missing wasn't them specifically, but God himself

This was one of the most beautiful, relatable videos I have ever seen. 😢 It was expertly put together and your genuine, thoughtful personality really shines through. As someone who is just now waking up from this religion at 19, I can’t state enough how inspiring your story is and how courageous it was of you to put it out there. I know i’m not the only one who feels this way :) You are proving that the Ex-jw community is not filled exclusively with hateful, bitter people, but instead it is a group of people who are hurting inside and just want genuine happiness for themselves and others. I wish there was more videos like this on KZbin. We need less videos focused on tearing down the organization and more videos about the inspiring stories of those who have woken up. Videos motivated by love and compassion rather than hatred and resentment. After all, loving people is what I believe life is all about. Sending you all the love and strength I can give ❤️ I would give you a warm hug if I could 🫂 Remember, we’re all in this together :) Stay strong everyone!!! 💪🏻

Hey man. I’m glad you finally came to the decision to be honest with yourself about what you really believe. I think that’s one of the most important things we can do. Your commitment to intellectual honesty is admirable. I would also like to say that as a basic Christian myself (southern baptist basically), I believe such honesty is a virtue. I mean, I claim to worship a God who claims to be the Truth, so truth matters a great deal to me. I would encourage you to not dismiss Christianity as a whole. From my experience it is possible to be a Christian and be intellectually honest. I know this might sound as if I’m trying to pull you from one cult into another so I can understand any hesitation you might have to religion in general, but just in case you’re at all curious about Christianity, might I recommend some people like Michael Jones (inspiringphilosophy on youtube) and Michael Heiser (an old testament scholar). These people (as well as several others) are committed to explaining the Bible and Christian faith in a way that is intellectually honest to the best of their abilities. Of course, if you’re not interested, I understand, and I hope that your life going forward is better than it was before. Keep going with the truth, man. God bless.

It can be a sad and scary time when you stop believing. You're leaving behind a huge part of your identity, and it can leave you feeling lost and disconnected. But you can't force belief. Know that you're not alone, and you will be ok.

Beautiful story, thank you for sharing man. JW is a false system with false prophecies and a corrupted version of the Bible. But that doesn’t mean the God of the Bible isn’t real, it just means it has accurately predicted that many false teachers would come and lead people astray from the truth. You mention in the video your interest in prophecy - have you looked into actual fulfilled biblical prophecy? Isaiah 53, psalm 22, Zechariah 12:10, 9:9, Micah 5:2, Daniel 9, all of these written 500-1000 years before Christ. God never promised to use an institution in an infallible way, only His Word. Much love and will be praying that you come to know the true Christ, the Son of God and God the Son. 🙏

I have recently become a Christian. I am very happy with where I am in my faith. I can resonate with your questioning, but personally I have felt like I have been finding good answers along the way while staying honest. Personally, it has really gotten me a long way in my conviction, but even then the last step always requires faith. I hope that you would give the orginial Gospel a chance - do a honest investigation and pray. God bless 🙏

ACTUALLY, WHO CARES? Didn't the people leave Jesus when he said, " eat my flesh and drink my blood? Did Jesus start crying and saying please come back? ABSOLUTELY NOT. Jesus ask the apostles, " Do you want to go also?" The choice i s yours, we were all made with free will. When the time comes you'll see. Anyone who m.j ake a v ok w to Jehovah, better keep it, Ecclesiastes 5 v 4, Deuteronomy 23 v 21. you can not unvow a v ok w you made to Jehovah, and you Can. Not UNLEARN the truth. Mark, very happy you are getting out. But don’t leave God behind. He is found in His Word. But first you must toss that NWT. Confirmation bias? That’s how the NWT was created. I use several translations. ESV. KJV. NASB. When the time comes that you really want to know if the God of the Bible is real I suggest that you find a church that preaching the Word in an expositional form, mostly. Expository preaching is the best way to understand the Word of God. God bless you.

I was born in. I woke up when the presiding overseer scolded me openly after meeting one Sunday for growing a beard for winter. I asked where in the Bible it said no beards. He got irritated and went on about the governing body. I wasn't allowed to go out in service until i shaved. So, i went home. I started replaying the encounter in my head, and realized it was illogical. Sure, a beard for fashion, ok, whatever. But, I was a landscaper, and was practical reasons. I started looking at everything though a logical lens, and realized nothing about any religion was much more than different versions of ancient superstitions. I slowly stopped going. I went a few times after 9/11, but it was just nonsense. I never had a problem with anyone until recently finding out about all the sex predators and child molestation being hidden. I walked away when i was 17, 25 years ago. It took years to acclimate to the real world. Largely because the resources didn't exist. We all suffer from religious trauma to some extent. My sister and i were just talking earlier about how we walk around like we might be attacked at any time when there's people around. I suspect its because we had it ingrained in us that some day people will come for us to harm, kill, or imprisonment. Oh, yeah. In the last 25 years, not a single "friend" has tried to contact me and I'm still waiting on a shepherding call.

I started asking questions during the pandemic as well. Those questions would eventually lead me out of Christianity and out of belief in god. It’s crazy to think that I didn’t ask any questions sooner. I just allowed myself to get swept up in the faith without using any critical thinking. Good luck my friend ❤.

I laughed out loud when you described mormons as "weird cousins" to the JW faith. I grew up mormon and have always been fascinated with Jehovah's Witnesses because of so many of the similarities. I always thought of y'all as the weird cousins, if that makes sense 😂. I think that faith transitions are weirdly universal, your story resonated heavily with me and I think it's really commendable that you are making this video as a bookmark in a moment of time. Every day is different. Sometimes I really struggle with not having "my people" anymore. Mostly I just feel grateful that I'm not masking and living a lie anymore. "The truth sets you free." As they say, but nobody ever talks about the ghosts it leaves behind. Best of luck to you on your journey.

I faded out a few years back. I would be reading Watchtower publications or listening to talks and feeling something wasn't right but not knowing why. Things started to become clearer as I learnt the book of Revelation was about events leading up to and including the destruction of the Temple in 70 A.D. Realising all prophecy was over, and that the organisation clearly was not God directed in understanding, there was no point keep going to the kingdom hall. There is still much I don't understand, but I have more time now for real study without being told what I should believe.

@@johndemola1608 that's the impression the Watchtower give and some others. The book of Revelation opens and closes with the same thought, that it was written to the seven congregations of things that would soon happen in their lifetime. Revelation 1:1-3; 22::7,10,12,16. The other time clue is in Revelation 17:10; 1. Julius Caesar 2. Augustus Caesar (Luke 2:1) 3. Tiberius Caesar (Luke 3:1) 4. Gaius Caesar 5. Claudius Caesar (Acts 18:2) 6. Nero Caesar (Acts 28:19) the one at the time of writing. 7. Vespasian Caesar, the last one. Revelation took place then during Nero's and Vespasian's Reigns. It all happened within that generation as Jesus promised. Matthew 16:27,27; 24:34.

Praying for you to find answers to the important questions regarding faith and God … just bc you were deceived by cultish humans that doesn’t mean that God doesn’t exist… I do believe that He came down to earth in the person of Jesus Christ to offer salvation to humankind. So, as you now have lots of free time, why don’t you go ahead and research who Jesus claimed to be and if you find any evidence for those claims. I think that’s the pivotal question which needs to be addressed. Greetings from Germany … and I also liked your videography skills!

Thank you for sharing your experience! I studied in my 20’s, I’m now 60 and left 2 years ago. I spent nearly 38 years as a Jehovah’s Witnesses and I left still thinking it was the truth but it didn’t take long for me to realize I’d been in a Cult. I’m thankful my husband and family never listened to me as I know I would have been shunned and it’s so sad hearing of the many that experience this. I no longer find myself drawn to any religious organisation I’m just so much happier in my own self! Where I stand now is life is short we need to live it, learn new things and show love and kindness to all people.
