It's so so weird so see this beautiful dance from a dancer that's not in a kroj! I've never seen a guy in "everyday" dress do the verbuňk before and it seems so contradictial somehow🤣🙈 he's dancing absolutely beautiful and I think his dance is from Podluží if I'm right? Looks to me like that at least but I only have my observation and no further knowledge sadly. But without the costumes it's much harder to tell for me. Whenever Ive watched verbuňk videos it was always like entering another world to me, another time idk.. a parallel universe maybe. But without the costumes for the first time I really see the modernity of this dance even now, somehow a connection between the past and the current and between that other world and this one where I'm part of somehow (because it's now still, not because I have any connections to cz culture sadly).. idk how I could describe it to make it understandable. But it feels very weird, a little wrong and also very fascinating watching a guy do the verbuňk in normal clothing without a kroj...

Hello, he is singing and dancing hanacko-slovácký verbunk from Hanácko-Slovácko region. He has younger brother Daniel witch is also excellent verbunk dancer and I have on my youtube channel multiple videos with him.

Where does he come from? A costume like his or way of dancing the verbuňk like his I've seen very rarely! Looks closer to Slovak dances to me than other ways of dancing it from other regions but I could be completely wrong :)

It is Horňácko region. It's closer to Strážnicko but this region was historically more harsh to live in because of the infertile soil and generaly harsh conditions. Therefore their way of dancing is pretty rustic, agressive and sort of no-nonsense (in the best way possible), similar to their way of life. That is why I love Horňácko 🙂

So beautiful😊Wonderful song, is there a text to find somewhere? I think it's called zasadil jsem jablonečku and is from Kyjov? Milan Pokorák has such a beautiful, powerful voice! One of the most beautiful ones I've ever heard, to me personally. :) Could listen to him sing and watch him dance for hours. Wish there were more videos to find than the few I found so far, since I stumbled upon the first one by coincidence a while ago ;D

What is it called? :D I would love to hear as many versions of this melody I possibly can, so wonderful :) Also he dances so good - I think his costume and his way of dancing the verbuňk is from Břeclav isn't it? Could be completely wrong :D I just thought I noticed a pattern there but I sadly don't know anything about the variations of costumes and interpretations of the verbunk, would love to learn more about it! Oh and also, what music group is playing there! I just love the way they play, especially the main violin, has so much character, so sharp and emotional! <3

What is the song of the first verbunk at 10:00 minutes called? Didn't catch the title... beautiful song! And the song of the winner, also so very beautiful! But if I look for "stojí hruška v širém poli" I find only songs that sound completely different...

Hi, it called "Nedaleko od Karlovej, Janova". Yes, the song of the winner was for me completely new. Maybe you can visit local folklor events of Kyjovsko area in Czechia ;)

I've watched a few videos with Milan Pokorák now, often times stumble upon his performances when I watch verbuňk videos, and I really have to say it's always such a pleasure to watch him dance and listen to him sing these songs. His voice is just amazing! Is he a professional singer or does he just "by accident" have such a great voice?! :D Much love from Germany :)

Tož, tu odpornó tržnicu si paní Ludvíková fakt nezaslóžila. Ostuda pro Brno jak hrom! Organizátoři, běžte se bodnót... :0((( Přitom vlastně vůbec nepršelo! To je tak, gdyž se gatě stáhnó eště daleko před brodem.

Dobrý den (Ahoj), bylo by potřeba, aby nepršelo i 4 hodiny před akcí, kdy se chystají zvukař a místa k sezení. Ve 12:30 sdělilo letiště v Tuřanech, že v 17-19:00 máme čekat 8-10 mm (litrů na m2), načež už muselo padnout rychlé rozhodnutí. Mezi 14 a 16:00 skutečně pršelo. Chtěl bych vidět vás (Tebe), kdyby byla předpověď bouřek na všech světových stranách. Klady prostor na nádvoří sice převažují, ale když už jsme s nimi neriskovali, jsme rádi, že alespoň vyšlo riziko s průvodem, protože kdyby mělo zmoknout bezprostředně před přehlídkou víc, jak 50 ženských krojů, z nichž většina se škrobenými součástkami, to by byla opravdová pohroma. Kupodivu na průvod se zastavením máme pozitivní ohlasy. Škoda, jestli jsi (jste) nebyl(i) osobně.

@@Blazekjanhust Mám za to, že i mokrá varianta měla mít kultivovanou podobu. Ta tržnice mohla posloužit snad jako dočasný úkryt, aby kroje během několikaminutové spršky nezmohly. Určitě ale ne jako náhradní prostora pro tříhodinové vystoupení! Je to prostě ostuda jak Brno!
