I agree with what you're saying. We are saved "by grace through faith" (Eph.2:8). But you are misunderstanding what I'm saying. Read Galatians 5:19-21. It's listing "the deeds of the flesh." In verse 21, it mentions "drunkenness" as one of those deeds. Then it concludes in verse 21 with a warning "that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God." What part of this is "not biblical"? If you "practice" the deeds of the flesh, he's saying, you're not saved. You "will not inherit the kingdom of God." As for "it's not your life being changed that saves you," yes I agree but if you're saved you're like will be changed. You are a "new creation" (2 Cor.5:17).

@SteveHereford hi lovely answer you said getting back to me thank you. my repsomxe to what you said. Will be the following. . Deeds of the flesh. The "deeds of the flesh" are listed in Galatians 5:19-21 in the New Testament. Here's the passage (often translated as "acts of the flesh"): > Galatians 5:19-21 (NIV) "The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God." it also applies to those who do the minor aspects. such as fits of rage. and jealousy and selfish ambition. my friend. jealousy. natural pride. natural self preservation. natural fits of anger and rage from internal or external sources. this is the human condition. it cannot be escaped. So the lord is saying don't do these things that is most easy and normal for you. don't do them so you may then keep my grace and not be cast aside. and then. get tk the kindom of heaven? that wouldn't make sense. or be fair. grace. is 100% grace. not works. thus it would be of works. other verses like. The verse you're referring to is from the Book of Revelation. It mentions those who engage in certain sins and states that "all liars" will face judgment. Here’s the verse: > Revelation 21:8 (NIV) "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars-they will be consigned to the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death." let's pay attention to one specific word here." all liars" the definition of liar is a someone who tells a falsehood. EVEY human being is guilty of this. and our Ego fears it's own death and harm constantly thus we are protective and selfish and unwilling to easily admit we are wrong. thus we lie all the time. either to ourselves or to others.. cause we justify and rationalize it. my point here is this natural process of just thinking and existing and speaking. is sinful cause we can't help but lie. making us liars. see the problem here? if we are only saved by grace if we do all these good works. then it's us saying we can perfectly deny human nature defaults. and we CAN'T. we just can't. that's why the lord said. he had been made out rightesouness. cause none of us are deserving of it. we all lie same with lust logicaly . there is now a problem. Is grace now with works.. or is grace alone and true belief correct. am I spitting nonsense or do you udneratnaf th logical examples I'm proposing of how unfair it is to be judged by lying. and jealousy. and lust. natural human behaviors. Leads to hell. even if we belive in the lord jesus?? That doesn't sound like good news to me. sounds like no one can handle that payment that's due.

@@jacktheartcreator Hi, I have read over your comment several times making sure I am understanding what you're saying. Let me say first that salvation is 100% by God's grace (Eph.2:8) minus any works (Eph.2:9), faith and repentance are required but are also gifts (2 Tim.3:35). No one can come to the Father unless He first draws them to Himself (Jn.6:44). The context of the passage I am speaking on in the video is from Galatians 5. The Apostle Paul begins verse 16 by talking about walking in the spirit and when you do "you will not carry out the desires of the flesh." Then in verse 17 he talks about the desire of the Spirit versus the desire of the flesh and then in verses 19-21 he contrasts the deeds of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit in verses 22-23. But while he is saying all this, he says at the end of verse 21 if the deeds of the flesh characterize your life (as you said we are born with all this but for a Christian he is no longer led by the flesh but by the Spirit, v.18) you "will not inherit the kingdom of God." Salvation is by pure grace but after one is saved, he is a new creation in Christ (2 Cor.5:17) and therefore lives differently than before salvation. Before salvation, Ephesians 2:1-3 says he is "dead in trespasses and sins." He lives "according to the prince of the power of the air (that's Satan) (v.2). He also lives "in the lusts of [his] flesh, indulging the desires of the flesh and of the mind" and is "by nature children of wrath, even as the rest" (v.3). When God transforms him (vv.4-5) all this becomes his past and no longer his present reality and now he walks "in a manner worthy of the calling with which [he has] been called" (4:1). It's hard to understand everything in a short video but if you want to hear the entire message - kzbin.info/www/bejne/aJKwYZuZj5efq7c

@@SteveHereford great responce I heard EVEry word and I loved it. howrver. it still doesn't convince me. when we are made new creatures in christ that does not mean. as soon as I accept the lord Jesus christ and put my faith in him as the son of God and my lord and savior.. and what he did on the cross that doesn't mean. my guilty pleasures go away. it doesn't mean I can all the sudden control my anger perfectly. I doesn't mean I don't lust anymore it doesn't mean. Jesus magical removed my desire for alchol and drunkeness it doesn't mean I no longer commit sin or want to. we have to make this verb clear. the lord Jesus. does NOTHING in regards to changing us. and fixing our habits and magicalg cleansing us of our fleshly temptations. no. absolutely not. it is a a YEARNING. and a desire to do Better. to please the lord by Trying to remove those wicked things. from ones life. when it talks about we are made new creatures. if cannot logicaly be talking about everythinf about us changes. if that was the case Christians wouldn't sin. our fleshy temptations and desires would always be below the desires and power of the spirit. but it's not. the human flesh is strong mate. what it means is we at made a new creature. cause we are Bathed and cloaked in holy righteoness by God. because of faith. We repented and turned from unbelief. and some relienace on ourselves or the law. to now relying solely on lord Jesus and faith in him. as the Bible asks us over and over to do to recieve salvation. my point still stands. lust. and lying. and slothfullness and pride cannot be removed. and are sins that do and will send someone to hell. We are made new creatures.. and our new true identity is a Sheep of the lord Jesus because we are believers. now what matters is how do we live our life to align our self's with our position in christ. not our of salvation concern but out of. can the world even tell based off our actions if we are ( saved). what an observer can see. can they see the glory of God in us on a daily matter or can they not. but that is not salvation. that's discipleship. the long painful hard walk. saved by grace entirely yes. therefor. lying and lustimg Christian is also saved. either that or.... no one is saved.
@SteveHereford2 күн бұрын
@@jacktheartcreator I think you're confusing this with sanctification. That's the daily, moment-by-moment event where we "put to death the deeds of the body" (Col.3:5). What about the Holy Spirit? We are told in Ephesians 5:18 to be filled with the Spirit. And when you are then you "will not carry out the deeds of the flesh" (Gal.5:16). Romans 8:13 says you put to death the deeds of the body by the Spirit. You're right the struggle is still there because of the flesh but like I said in my last comment, if you're practicing the deeds of the flesh, instead of killing it, it demonstrates you're not saved to begin with. The key word in that verse is "practice". Apart from the Holy Spirit we cannot kill the flesh of its wicked deeds. And with "practicing" the deeds of the flesh demonstrates there is no salvation at all because yes Jesus does transform you entirely but it's the flesh that you're wrestling with now. Before salvation, you didn't fight with it because it was how you lived your life but now in Christ you live for Christ and you fight and struggle to subdue the flesh by the Spirit's power.

There are no original writings from Tacticus, Pliny the Younger or Homer, only copies. The Bible comes within 25 years of the original. No other ancient document comes this close, only within 400 years. God did not need man to write down His words. The only immoral deeds that are in the Bible are the ones that God allowed to be recorded for all to read so that they would fear a holy and righteous God who is coming. As John the Baptist said in Matthew 3, "Flee the wrath that is to come." I urge you to do the same. Jesus is coming this time as Judge and every knee will bow and every tongue confess that He is Lord!

The 4 gospels (out of the dozens authored) were authored anonymously and no writing exists in the original language. Your dishonesty is showing.

Salvation doesn’t stop at simply believing, it’s the baptism in the name of Jesus Christ and receiving the Holy Ghost that saves us according to John 3:5 and 1 Peter 3:21😊
@SteveHereford23 күн бұрын
What verse are you referring to? The one I was quoting was Acts 16:31 which says, "They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." Keep in mind this is a youtube short not a full length sermon. The full length sermon can be found here - www.sermonaudio.com/sermons/10823165927517. It is true he was baptized according to verse 33, so were those who believed that were a part of his "household." Baptism does not save anyone. Scripture commands us to be baptized (Acts 10:48) but it is not the condition for salvation. Mark 16:16 says, "Her who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has DISBELIEVED shall be condemned." It doesn't say he who has not been baptized shall be condemned but who has disbelieved. 1 Peter 3:21 says "baptism now saves you--- NOT THE REMOVAL OF DIRT FROM THE FLESH, but AN APPEAL TO GOD FOR A GOOD CONSCIENCE THROUGH THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS CHRIST." This verse is not saying it's the physical act of baptism itself that saves, but rather the spiritual reality it represents - "an appeal to God for a good conscience." Baptism is a symbol of the believer's identification with Christ's death, burial, and resurrection. The passage goes on to connect baptism to Noah's deliverance through the flood, where it was not the water itself that saved Noah and his family, but their faith and obedience in entering the ark. Likewise, it is through faith in Christ's resurrection that believers are saved, not merely the outward act of baptism. I agree that this is by the work of the Holy Spirit as you mentioned in John 3:5. When Scripture calls us to "repent and believe in the gospel" (Mk.1:15), that is a work of God (Eph.2:8; 2 Tim.2:25) not a work of man.

We must be very careful about adding qualifiers to salvation. It is absolutely true that trusting in Christ rather than Self requires a degree of humility inherently, however, that will undoubtedly be accompanied by plenty of lingering self righteousness as well. We don't need to come to Christ after cleaning ourselves up from pride, we come to the Great Physician sick, and He heals us.
@SteveHereford25 күн бұрын
The only qualifiers to salvation are what God gives in His word and one of them is to repent. You can't do that unless you humble yourself and lose your pride. Salvation is in Christ alone but you must come on His terms not your own. Be careful not to erase the warnings and the commands to repent and believe the gospel (Mark 1:15; Acts 2:37-38).

None of us can clean up our lives satisfactory to God. To try is a works salvation and it diminishes the reason He came in the first place. To be forgiven is to first come to Him in humble repentance. Jesus says in Matthew 11:28, "Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy laden, and I will give you rest." The "rest" is salvation.
