I am Italian but I love bagpipe music and Scotland. Maybe in the other life I was Scottish🥹🥹🇮🇹🏴

I first became aware of Kathryn Tickell when she was on the BBC local news programme for the north east, Look North, after she was made the official piper to the lord major of Newcastle in 1984. I think she was about 16 then. I have followed her and her music ever since. I grew up in Northumberland and have lived in the Scottish Borders for 30 years (near Duns in fact, the place that 'dings a'). Her music, both fiddle and pipes, epitomises the region. It just fits. It feels like part of the landscape. When I hear her play it makes me feel nostalgic for home, even when I'm still there! Just beautiful.

Well, as everyone there in attendance and everyone watching the video here can see and hear Mari is nothing less than superb. So, I decided that I should shout out a compliment to the pianist for her excellent work. Well done!👍

I do not usually like medleys but found this one to be very musical with some good old tunes thrown in the mix

for years her music represented something that got me away from the commerce , isn't it ...

on the flip side - isn’t it brilliant to see such a unique and hugely talented Scottish artist gaining success with her work and reaching new global audiences ?

@@TradTV much rather would like to see her collaborating with the likes of Minami Kizuki ( just to throw out a name )

Sounds good, but your sound engineer must be a guitar player. The guitar overwhelms the fiddle.

Does anyone knoww one piper was tapping the tempo on the other pipers foot?
@thefabuloussporcu317Ай бұрын
The piper is blind and is using another piper tapping his foot to feel the tempo since he obviously can't see the pipey tapping his foot
