I enjoyed this video a lot, nice job. I’ve played quite a bit of aeons end, and I have all but the wave 6 expansions. I’ve beaten all the bosses we have on increased difficulty in both 2 and 4 player, and even a fistful in extinction mode. I’ve personally found that running a full beat down strategy for all my mages just generally doesn’t work. I may be doing it wrong, but I’ve generally found that having one or two mages beat down to deal with early threats is great, but along with that having at least one pick up economy is almost always valuable. I never dedicate them fully to economy and always have a few spells prepped for emergency damage, but so many of the nemesis’s require a ether to deal with or slow down key parts of their fight, and buying off powers always helps a ton. Later as the economy mage has a turn here and a turn there, picking up big spells to blow up the boss completely tends to work great. I definitely agree with what you said about not shoving mages into neat little boxes though. I often run Claudia as the early beat down character exactly for the reasons you mentioned, and I can slowly pick up charges with her aetherscope to pick up a big spell off the economy mages turn when her ability is up.

Thanks for playing Jing Yuan! I think what won this matchup was not only pyke's good defense and budget evasive, but also Jing Yuan losing that Twice As Wild around 30:38 lol. Though the bad luck on Strategies didn't help either lol. The Lightning Lord is Ultimate dmg specifically so attack modifiers can be used while it doesn't get affected by statuses like wither. All around, a good match!

Thanks for getting around to playing Pyke! though at around 26:10 when you played "Umbral Glaive" you chose 2 options from the card but didn't discard your cut. I haven't watched the full video as I write this but just thought I would point it out Edit: you did discard the card "Your Cut" and didn't get any CP from it when you were over hand size so I guess it doesn't matter edit 2 after finishing the video: As for "Did I Support Right?" I think it was mainly the matchup that made it good, in all the playtests I did with Pyke back when I made him the mentioned ability was never that good to activate it was just a fall back, I believe the main reason why the mentioned ability was so good in this matchup is like Pyke, Jing yuan didn't have too many ways to dodge defense, which Pyke's defense is his strong suit. again though, thanks for playing Pyke!

A really dumb but funny build when it works is steel goob and double chain whip. Expensive and really stamina intensive, but it's funny to see all the scaling while making your opponent weaker when it works.

You should try see pig, buy pig build. It generally sucks early game, but it gets great late game if you make it work.

That was a good match! The only balancing thought I have after watching it is to give the Lamb a Scarlet Witch "Conjure"-like safety net where any opponent can skip their Income Phase to force the Lamb to change the Doctrine. The Lamb would still get to draw 2 and pick 1 so it's a huge downside for an opponent to voluntarily Concuss themselves just to let the Lamb choose another Doctrine to put into play (especially when the opponent is already losing CP and card advantage to Sin). But it would be a big help when there's exactly 1 Doctrine that absolutely hard counters a hero. Like with the Status Effect one we saw in this matchup or, for example, the Upgrade one against Black Widow. Conjure only requires a player to discard a card but that seems like too low a price and also The Lamb can theoretically run out of Doctrines so skipping Income means you can only do it once per turn so it's nearly impossible to run out the deck.

I'll watch the vid later. I'm not sure if you talk about this or not, but it's so infuriating that flame whip is not designed to work well with steel goobert the way the other whips do. I feel like that could be a pretty big buff.

Kinda want the Spike Shield to fuse into more stuff, like a Spike Armor, Spike Cap or maybe a Flamming Spike Shield?

I've gotten Flame Whip +Anvil through survival twice with Berserker out of 3 tries. Been surprised at Djinn Lamp in the build. The heat scaling makes it activate so much you can get to lamp trigger when you enter berserker rage and get the armor from dragonscale Edit: this was before the big Anvil nerf. Came back to the game after a couple days to a big surprise lol

I thought a good pair for the flame whip was the crossblades. Flame whip is the only weapon that could benefit from both buffs provided by the CB thanks to how it's oriented

The dragon nest description includes "dragon eggs are offered in the shop" so I think you have to roll with the nest in the backpack to have more chance of eggs.

I think the wolpertinger is definitely the call because it scales with your heat and can even give you thorns

Whip is really good but with Egg. 1x Pineapple is enough, 2 bananas vs no shields. Have been playing it even before 4 heat buff. Other than Egg decent probably only in Ice build as a secondary weapon.
