I have the same 06 scion xb my question is my ac condenser just leaked out all my freon and I have been driving for a few weeks with no a.c. I bought the ac condenser and do you think my ac compressor is no good anymore? My issue was only a leak on my ac condenser but I don't know if me driving with the compressor spinning kills it. Thanks.

So I’m sure the person that made this video doesn’t check the comments but to help those that have a question about the compressor not turning on despite being new that black solenoid that has the wire going to it it’s the valve that has to operate in order to compress the refrigerant. Another thing is the pressures on this guys gauges are very close in pressure because the compressor is t on but if it was working and the pressures were not 30 and 150 then check your expansion valve. I’m replacing the parts now and my brand new compressor also didn’t turn on but the shop told me that it could be the valve/solenoid so I have a brand new one so I’m going to swap it out and see if it will work.

@tonybedford8934 you have to replace your immobilizer . So you need to have your (immobilizer) programmed to your (chip key), and (computer)... Why? Because your immobilizer is not reading your chip key. If you replace your chip key, it must be programmed to your new immobilizer. The problem is Dodge has a safety theft feature, that the (chip key) and (immobilizer) must also need to be programmed to your computer(ecu).. All 3, immobilizer, chip key, and immobilizer must be programmed all together. So, if you get everything brand new, computer from auto zone, chip key and immobilizer from dealer... You must have the dealer programmed all 3 to work like a charm... OR if if you can find all 3 items from a same truck at the junk yard with the same engine setup then, just an easy swap will work, but you must get all 3... OR last but not least, there are shops/places on the internet where you send your computer too, and they will remove the theft feature away, or what it's known as removing the immobilizer feature from the computer. After you get back your computer, the truck will turn on, but sometimes doors lock won't work... it's best to get all 3 items from a junk yard...

My 05 xb ac worked great, had my clutch replaced and now the ac doesn't kick on (rpms don't drop) and blows warm air. Maybe the mechanic didn't put the belt on??

had it with ebay parts, buy from Advance/Autozone/Oreillys, take it right back if something doesn't fit or is broken. Bought a low pressure AC hose for my XB, couldn't get one end in, the top part, compared it with the old one, it's slightly different, about 1/8" different. I suppose I could take a pipe cutter and trim it but what a waste, it was supposed to be exact fit.

I bought the same thing, but I bought new expansion valve and condenser. I will tow the car to a A/C mechanic and then have it properly cleaned out etc. Before I run the new one. If it all fails then I also got "played" by ebay. The new compressor came with a very lengthy explanation why compressor failed etc. pretty much telling you as the customer if the new one fails you are the dumb ass for not checking the rest of the system first for faults...I will let you guys know once I have it all installed. Waiting on condenser and Expansion valve to come in

My mechanic just replaced the compressor on my 2005. Scion XB. Same problem. Blew cold right away but then went back to blowing only hot air next day. If you figure out why yours didn’t work please update.

IT doesn't work that way you need to get in the car and do the matching with the car the xhorse just put right I'd or software into the remote so you can do the matching manually
