The way this whole thing played out it was an accident and He was trying to steer clear And couldn’t maneuver in time and ended up colliding with that girl and it wasn’t his fault. If I knew how to snowboard or ski and witness this I would’ve stood up to that guy and told him it wasn’t his fault at the girl cut him off he was trying to steer clear but didn’t have enough room

The young kid slipped out from behind his dad. Since the snowboarder and the other skier were going about the same speed, had he slipped out a couple seconds earlier, the other skier would've hit him. If it were me, I would've passed the dad on the right instead of attempting to thread the needle on the left. The responsibility code goes both ways. On one hand, you are responsible for avoiding those in front of you. However, you can't stop where you obstruct a trail or are not visible from above, and you need to look before starting downhill and yield to others. The dad stopped right in the middle of the trail, the kid was standing behind him and not visible from above, and he started going again without first looking uphill. Both the snowboarder and the dad made mistakes, but this was truly an accident and not a case of reckless skiing.

How about not stopping in the middle of the run? Move to the side. A parent acosts me on the hill, I'd bury him up there.

Angry guys are so common. They are not special cause they have freaking kids. These people don’t get passes anymore(no pun intended) for lashing out. I’ve been hit but don’t hit back cause I know my words are fierce and true. This kid that got hit and didn’t hit back it he doesn’t get jaded just gained crucial life wisdom. I love seeing souls not hit back in the face of violence

That could’ve been an easy maneuvre to just avoid both. You are not that good at snowboarding…

People whine the code of conduct the person downhill has the right of way, which is true...but anyone with common sense doesn't sit in the middle of the run or in the fall line and gets as far over from the run WHEN STOPPED. At least any of the more experienced skiers/snowboarders. I hate douches who sit in the middle of the run and kill your fun down the hill.

Bro I swear every single video I watch about this type of shit, it's always the skiers being fucking nuts. This is why I will never teach my daughter how to ski, my son fell in love with snowboarding as soon as he saw my sashimi xv and I think it just goes to show how fucking cookie cutter skiing has been forever. I remember when we used to get kicked out of places for hittin crazy shit on jumps we built ourselves in the snow by skiers pissed they couldn't do the same thing. Now the kickers, halfpipes, and big air jump are built in and encouraged to use. Fucking nuts.

80% of parents of young kids would’ve acted this way. There’s a huge sense of entitlement I see regularly. I think these parent assume it’s a pay-it-forward system like “you put up with my annoying kids, I’ll put up with yours, we’ll all put up with each others.” That’s why this dad was angry, he felt he had a right to let his precious little kids bunny ski in everyone’s way on a busy dark green or blue slope.

Let me get it straight, the snowboarder is a fucking douchebag. The Ski Code states it in the plain language: 1. Always stay in control, and be able to stop or avoid other people or objects. 2. People ahead of you have the right of way. It is your responsibility to avoid them. Period.
@tBusket3 жыл бұрын
Snow Boarders are like motorcycles screwing around on the roads and freeway. If you hit someone, it is your fault. The dad should have beat his ass and any of his friends who snow board too.

As a snowboarder myself, this happens to me a lot and I just go away without talking. It was completely the mans fault not the snowboarder, the little boy came from out of view and the man should have checked to see if any body was coming such as the snowboarder

The father didn't look where his kid was going. But the snowboarder could have slowed down or fell to prevent potential crash instead of going faster when the girl cut him off. Especially if you don't have much experience, you need to learn to fall if you lose control.
