Well done. I've mimicked the progression you've outlined. I'm 79. My RBD started over 15 years ago. Then was troubled with constipation, depression, anxiety, loss of sense of smell. The pieces didn't start to come together until about a year ago. I joined the Michel J. Fox Foundation research project PPMI (Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative). Only within the last year have I started to experience motor symptoms. Your research is interesting. I've been convinced, in a non-clinical personal point of view, that RBD is the most important marker for Parkinson's.

Simply gorgeous ten minutes--you are light and joy and hope--and fun...how can it be otherwise when you start us out with "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles"... thank you for this...I was looking for a wonderful speaker on Parkinson's who had early onset and I met her in Santa Rosa, CA around 1994 but cannot find her, but then in searching, that is how I came across your video. A grand way to begin my morning.

Fascinating and enlightening conversation. I've had RBD, loss of smell, constipation, depression, for 15 or 20 years. In the last 6-8 months (2023/2024) mother symptoms have started to show up. Rigidity foremost among them. I don't have a final diagnosis yet, but I've been put on carbidopa/levodopa recently.

Just watched this video with Richelle's excellent presentation. As a PWP diagnosed for just over two years I'm trying to explore every avenue, and this has inspired me such a lot. At least to start with I intend to find out more about our dietetic services locally and request an appointment to see someone. I guess my consultant should be the avenue for that, but I know we don't have enough consultants so in our area we are lucky if we are seen once a year and most of us are waiting longer. From the video we couldn't see what was on the slides, so I'd be interested to know if I can find them anywhere on the web. Richelle you're an inspiration!
