I was living in reidsville NC my house got robbed they kicked in my door so I had to move , when my house was empty up for sale a girl I was seeing at the time hit me up wanted to meet up . I picked her up brought her to the empty house, it was winter and really cold we picked up blankets and an electric heater from storage, we got to the house went inside and we had sex on my leather futon the only furniture there, After we were done I played this song as I was getting dressed and I alway think of that moment after and the look on her face the moment how the day was the smell, I remember singing the song as I softly pinched her cheek. New sub.. hadn’t heard this til I was driving back from visiting a friend.. I had a really horrible night w my 75 year old mother who left me when I was 13 in my ear on the phone telling me how fkd up me and all of my children are.. ages 27to 5.. I have 8 kids .. single mom and been out on my own doing this for a long time.. I don’t live how the world tells me to.. I am much like your average gypsy traveler.. my children are fearless and kind and love all.. I al say teach them to be a light in darkness and I heard this while driving home at 530 in the morning and the sun was starting to rise.. I pulled over in the back desert road by lake pleasant Az near where I live and parked in a dirt area and sat surrounded by the mountains and the cactus 🌵 🏜️ and the sound of this song and the lyrics literally poured healing into my soul and my ears.. I said the night before that I felt like pouring bleach into my ears to get the sound of my mothers evil voice out of my head telling me I was a nasty horrible girl and I needed a psychiatrist.. ( I probably do after the hell she put me through) however I don’t believe in that big pharma side of things and I’ve always gone to reggae and nature to heal.. after the drive and the sunrise and the music speaking to my soul I understood and was reminded yet again that my journey is not just for me to learn lessons but to also be a light and a ladder to help others out of their darkness and the pit that others have thrown them in and left them for dead.. please know that whoever you are that might read this, is surrounded by love and light and healing energy.. keep walking through even if it hurts.. the storms and the sunshine are both necessary for growth.. dance in the rain.. 😘
