Paul: Note to self... Leave lead playing to the other two guitarists in the band. If you want to know who showed his prowess, in this video, it wasn't Paul (this is a good display of his mediocre lead guitar playing. He's great at everything else), its the drummer Abe who showed his chops, here. Great drumming. It was the same thing with Mitch Mitchell on the original recording.

Paul hung out with Jimi too man... All these legends who worked in the 60s were around to see a lotta different people on stage. A lotta talent. Always love to hear that story about Sgt album and Jimi calling for Eric. One can't be nicer than Paul. ❤

I say this with all due respect because I think Paul MCCartney is phenomenal…. Absolutely brilliant. Love his bass playing, his sing writing etc. She may be no dancer, but PaulAin’t no lead player. 😂

So in the "Let it Be" movie, George and Paul are arguing about Get Back and Paul is asking "Where did we get that cord?", while flipping the bird to George. John, meanwhile strums a bit of Foxy Lady.

Paul's strokes are interesting. He is far cleaner than Hendrix. He is far more fluid than anyone else. Yet he is nailing it down. Paul always left a more complex sound than anyone else. Not the most technical like some but those guys fall flat.

I don't think some realize but Jimi released Are You Experienced? on May 12, 1967. Sgt. Pepper's was released on May 26th, 1967. Let that sink in. Everybody said Sgt. Peppers was this forward thinking game changer and it WAS, but Are You Experienced? was before it! And man was THAT as game changer. So just saying Sgt. Pepper's wasn't on an island all by itself.

Surprised he did not sing it. Paul can get heavy when he wants to. The Beatles heaviest song song was Helter Skelter.

Brilliant from McCartney. But his story about jimi Hendrix not being able to tune his guitar was either a joke Hendrix had with the crowd or a complete fabrication by McCartney. There’s lots of evidence of Jimi Hendrix tuning his own guitar!!

Paul's an amazing bassist and a decent pianist. But when it comes to guitar solos... lol... He did the solo in Taxman. That one's actually pretty good, but I often wonder how many takes before he hit one one that they really liked. His guitar solos are very chaotic and I think in large part, because of that, they're very hit or miss.
