Bless Malcolm for his videos on KZbin, because of these films I discovered the O antiphons, I have followed the antiphons this Christmas and will ensure I do so every year from now on. The antiphons have played a big part in my Christmas this year.

Williams book on St Benedict taught me more about Christianity in the first 10 pages than I had learned in 50 years of religious and theological education including graduate school in theology. Williams is a modern living sage of the most profound magnitude.

Doing thinking procreation role facts gift as absolute and having faith being in need of identity as relative are inseparable and qualitatively equal the keeping of which in a triple trinitarian keeping can only be in uncertainty of belief.

Sanitized: “And he said unto them, In what place soever ye enter into an house, there abide till ye depart from that place. [11] And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear you, when ye depart thence, shake off the dust under your feet for a testimony against them. Verily I say unto you, It shall be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city. [12] And they went out, and preached that men should repent.” Mr. Suchet left out the part about Sodom and Gomorrah. Why?

Lewis is better than Chesterton? In what universe? Lewis didn't have a fraction of Chesterton's wit and gift for marvellously apt metaphor.
@GeorgeMc-s6j12 күн бұрын
I can't think of a better use of metaphor than this one from Chesterton referring to the sun: "The one created thing which we cannot look at is the one thing in the light of which we look at everything. Like the sun at noonday, mysticism explains everything else by the blaze of its own victorious invisibility. Detached intellectualism is (in the exact sense of a popular phrase) all moonshine; for it is light without heat, and it is secondary light, reflected from a dead world. But the Greeks were right when they made Apollo the god both of imagination and of sanity; for he was both the patron of poetry and the patron of healing. Of necessary dogmas and a special creed I shall speak later. But that transcendentalism by which all men live has primarily much the position of the sun in the sky. We are conscious of it as of a kind of splendid confusion; it is something both shining and shapeless, at once a blaze and a blur. But the circle of the moon is as clear and unmistakable, as recurrent and inevitable, as the circle of Euclid on a blackboard. For the moon is utterly reasonable; and the moon is the mother of lunatics and has given to them all her name." (From "Orthodoxy")

ok so please explain to me how america build all of their capital buildings in the span of a few years with no population and no water or during a plague or a war. The most intricate stone masonry. It simply doesn't add up. Please disprove me, but i don't get why our timeline cant build like they seemed to be able to do in no time all over the old world.

The facade of the Pulpit has two swords ⚔️ making 3 Xs Ksee, x, in Greek is the numeral six That's the number of the beast cunningly hidden in plain sight! Also they break the 2nd commandment omitted in Catholic forgery Bible. Notice the Cherubim have what look like Insect Wings or Bat Wings. The throne of the Most High is graced with a couple of cherubim on on each side as is the Ark of the Covenant, indeed Cathedral means throne. Isn't that a little unseemly? Share this if you prove it out and agree.

Very interesting talk ….clearly influenced by NT Wright… NDEs speak of visual, carnal spatial paradise …so Heaven is everything we can imagine. Meditating on quantum entanglement…😴 could mean communion exists with our deceased brothers and sisters ?
@kierankilcommons579722 күн бұрын
“I believe in the communion of Saints….” The catholic and orthodox Christian’s believe in a very practical communion with those who have died. If the Kingdom of heaven is within me then I don’t have far to go to commune with them or with the blessed Lord.

So much to love about this talk: truth being verified differently now vs. millenia ago; there was no "us" so salvation is for the believer and unbeliever alike; the Jewish circular nature of history; virgin birth vs. virgin conception... Paula's scholarly and imaginative way of approaching the birth narrative is beyond admirable; it's inspiring and uplifting.
