Yeah, nice catch catching this new train. Let buy some chargers I think they made this new Florida train one because some trains can’t run in New York much in the big apple because they are doing some tunnel construction for a while. They after it started at the beginning of last week.

Why don’t they have the wolverine line electrified?
@FFred-us9tw14 күн бұрын
Because it’s a waste of money. Those locomotives and coaches are capable of 125 mph if they wanted it. An electric train isn’t going to be any faster than that. Far more economical to run diesels, considering the frequency of trains there.
@RailMan102_Productions13 күн бұрын
@ bro, do you even understand countries like Asia and Europe’s trains are electric and can go high-speed? How is it more economical to run diesel trains rather than electric trains?
@RailMan102_Productions13 күн бұрын
@@FFred-us9tw Dude if that was true then Caltrain wouldn’t have electrified their line
@FFred-us9tw13 күн бұрын
@@RailMan102_Productions the cost of the infrastructure, maintenance, manpower to maintain it, the reliability factor and the cost of buying electric locomotives is in the billions. If you don’t have the ridership and in turn the number of trains needed to make it financially feasible it’s a waste of money. Which is why the majority of US routes don’t have it. Diesels are self contained and far cheaper and more reliable to operate on lesser frequency routes. California got grant money for the project and is such a backwards state that losing money is just normal to them. They don’t mind operating at a loss because they’re hyper focused on emissions. Ignoring the fact that electric trains still run on power from fossil fuels.
