Small can be done easily but what about the big 4 feet drift woods? How can we boil that? All won't have huge vessels

I have a 4ft driftwood. I make the same process. I have a big metal drum then let them boil. If you do not have a big metal drum. You can use a Plastic one. But don't boil. Put the driftwood then slowly pour hot water.

Na try ko na sir Hinde po pwede, Kase na lulusaw Sya katagalan. Try mo po Ang bayabas. Kaso po need sa bayabas is matanda na saka dry na din po. Pag sariwa kase matagal Ang process.

@@luckyttshowlove8100 .. salamat paps .. on process na driftwood ko .. 1st day madugong brush at buhos ng kumukulong tubig .. 2nd and 3rd day nakababad sa suka at asin clear water pa nman at lubog na sya sa tubig .. btw maliit lang un driftwood ko pang 15g tank approx 20 inch L at pag nakahiga 7 inch un height .. more uploads to come paps .. 🤘🤘🤘

After boiling the driftwood it turns black .... How to make a driftwood come back to the original color or light color at least. Because don't look like natural when it's totally black. Thabk you

I think your driftwood are not totally dry. Try to dry in the sun light.

I've just found this video while searching how to clean driftwood. Everyone seems to be going with bleach soak in other tutorial videos. How safe is this.. I'm looking to add a large piece of wood (1 metre long)to an already established tank. Tank needs a new look. Can I add a new piece without killing my fish?

Yes. But, you need the old one. Just proceed the process. You need to remove all the tannis on your wood. Before you use for aquarium design.

Any hard wood will do. But need 10 years + to have good shape good quality driftwood.

Dpende sayo sir. Kung maliit na driftwood lang Naman saglit lang. Large driftwood kase Yan. Kaya medyo matagal ang process.

I have some driftwood that release some oil, I've never had that happen before. I was boiling multiple pieces at a time so I'm not sure which piece it came from. So now I'm trying to find a way to remove the sticky oily like film it left on other pieces. Do you think this method would work? Also have you ever experience driftwood releasing oil while boiling?

Hello sir/ma'am. Yes. You need to dry first your driftwood. You need to expose your driftwood in the sunlight. The oil is just like a tannis on your driftwood. Maybe months to remove. Or if know some falls or river you can soak for a month.
