Ok @everyone. I ordered this, and put it on my bike. I was convinced that it was going to be too loud, but it actually sounds really really good. Easy to control the volume. It did sound a little too crunchy for my liking, so I've taken out the baffles and put in a $15 amazon db killer (comes with holes in the exhaust already) and it sounds SO PERFECT. Powerful, low bassy groul, and sound almost like a performance race machine when on highway.

The rocket is such a desirable bike. It looks lovely. However, if I am candid, I ride a BMWR1250R,, which has very similar performance statistics (check acceleration times), and costs half the price and has half the fuel consumption, not to mention it is a superb bike to ride. A major feature though is when pulling off at an angle in a blind junction and one has to suddenly brake. The BM has a low centre of gravity, but if I was riding one of these monsters I doubt I could have stopped it falling over. Also, from experience, the one time I dropped my BM, on my driveway when my foot slipped on leaves, I was able to upright it by myself.

I'm not sure of the statistics, certainly not half the consumption or even close on performance. Everyone likes different things, but these are staggering, including the balance which is so low, far more manageable than many bikes 2/3rds the size. You can also pick these up easily due to the ultra low centre of gravity.

Grab the chrome edition and throw a BTMoto tune on it with a Werkes exhaust and it will rip harder than the storm by a good margin. Storm edition has a more egressive tune file over factory 23’ tune.

So the main difference between R and GT is that the GT has handlebars that are closer to the rider and forward foot controls, and the small backrest for the passenger. Correct?

Hi, Looks nice. Will the oem final heatshield still fit over so just exits poke out? I still take a pillion some times. Also, based on others comments and the video, it looks like there is plenty of room for a longer version DB killer in the pipes using the same anchor point. Are you planning to develop/offer that ? I reckon it would be a popular accessory.

I think back then no baffles as still had the cat in the front pipe. Current ones we build all have baffles due to cat being in silencer so removed when we fit the Slash Cuts.

I have the Total Triumph slash cut exhaust on my 2023 XC - a bit of pain to fit it (needed big rubber mallet !) maybe this is easier now on the 2024 model. I am very very happy with it - looks fab and sounds awesome.

Yes, this is a totally different design, and slips on in place of the original. Triumph have changed to a single pipe, which gets rid of the need to try and fit to two pipes running at different directions at the same time.

They self adapt, but starting and running bike (with no throttle) until cooling fan kicks in. We have not tested for BHP.

As a new 1200X owner I must admit that exhaust looks great👍, unfortunately it's waaaayyyyy too loud for me personally, even with the baffles in. I'm also around 120kg suited up so would I notice a 7kg saving in sprung weight?, probably not. Looks a well made piece of kit though.👍

No. I totally understand. It’s like that with any new product. My thing is that a lot of the India guys were saying their Triumph dealer was stating that it wasn’t an issue and that it was normal. If there is an issue and a company admits it and is committed to repairing it, that’s one thing. But to deny it’s happening or say it’s normal is another.

No. The pillion's leg sits forward of the pipes. My wife is happy on the back and she'd sure as fuck let me know if she wasn't.
