All I want is for the world to get Judy. Selena? Whitney? What was once maybe Jlo Hell even Micheal Jackson. The voice is a gift I lost and never had. OG’s.

I prefer Kristen Cheneweth's version best. Not sure what's up with the accent here.

Judy Garland was absolutely brilliant! This song always makes me cry. No matter how she sings it, however the mistakes she makes, to me she sounds beautiful ❤️

The staging of this performance similar to her mother’s The Man That Got Away. Quite different as the camera doesn’t move in for a closeup but Liza made this her own. She has the gravitas and storied career to imbue magic, you believe her from beginning to end. Bravo 👏 👏👏👏👏

Perhaps it’s that the filming was supposed to have been very difficult, or that her life was still difficult but the song so beautiful, such talent such pain.

the thing about this specific performance..is that you can feel her pain, her sadness and desperation. all this while still being able to admire her as a one of a kind talent. a true class act. the kind that honored us with her presence, even if we never officially met. once Judy entered your heart, she became family ♥️

I think a lot of people mistake this song. Somewhere Over The Rainbow isn't a place. It's a feeling. To me, it's the imagination of a life without my depression, PTSD and anxiety. What that might look like if a place actually existed with me happy in it. "If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow, why oh why can't I?"

This version of this song is so good. Rather than being the happy go lucky sound from the wizard of Oz, she instead sings it mournfully - like she has a really harsh life and she's almost given up on the dream of life getting any better. It is heartwrenching and starkly beautiful.

What an icon/classic line. I remember as a child, (50 years ago), after miles in the car on a family road trip, we stopped at an old hotel for the night. There wasn't much to choose from in those days as far as lodging. Most places , which average middle class people could afford, were pretty sketchy. When we entered the room our dad reserved for us, I made an observation of the place and commented, "what a dump!" Didn't know at the time I was repeating a classic Bette Davis line. Family joke I'll never live down!
