Would it interest you to know that the term 'Libertarianism' was originally coined by 'Communists'? Not that there's anything wrong with that! Just sayin'... While I do have issues with American 'Libertarianism', I support their anti-statist stance to some degree. I only wish they were as anti-corporate as they are, anti-statist. Too much 'privatization', has its own problems as well. Am I wrong?

Bad stuff? What bad stuff? Low inflation low gas prices booming job market affordable housing. This “racist” gave us record low black unemployment, business starts and black home ownership. This “Nazi” gave us the Abraham Accords. Put our embassy in Jerusalem and brought peace to the world. Does that sound like Hitler to you? It’s not Trumps rhetoric but rather the media’s portrayal that feeds this negativity. They should be sued for defamation and lying.

I wish I would have watched live - my question is regarding his stance on eliminating social security & instead encouraging individuals to save in a personal account. What about disabled people or people who have not saved enough to retire without being homeless? What idea does Chase have for those people?
@jonmcclung55974 ай бұрын
Basically mutual aid societies and voluntary charity would be his response. I would add that cities and states are welcome to augment this as they see fit.

People want to remember, Hitler gained power as an antidote to all the failed liberal anti nationalist policies that led Germany to the brink of destruction, much like the failed liberal elites in the EU, democrat and Center left have done once again! If you want a lesson from history, it’s don’t support liberals, because they lead to radical nationalism…….

And even now, lots of people on thr left show their true colord that they want to dominate, defile, and destroy. Unfortunately, its just as much a part of our nature as our propensity for altruism, construction, and love.

If people actually understood what the WW2 guy said, they would see it wasn't as crazy as they're told. The Germans elected a leader to protect them from the debauchery of what became of Weimar and the West.

It's terrifying how many people in the comment section seem to think this insight is some sort of vindication of Hitler. It isn't. It really is a condemnation of the capacity that ordinary people have for evil. It is the banality of evil - the fact a loving family man can go to work, joke with his friends, go home and feed the dog, then vote for genocide. It is undeniably part of the human condition, but it is to be surpressed and condemned at every turn, not used to justify atrocities.

but I thought Hitler was never elected chancellor. I though he was given a position because the previous chancellor wanted to appeal to the populist brown coats, and then Hitler became chancellor after a series of resignations that left him in charge.
@admontblanc7 ай бұрын
Technically a chancellor isn't elected, you vote for parliament seats and the party that wins chooses, usually their leader, to form government. Hitler's government started as a coalition so in a way he was chosen, but since his party had been the most voted he had the leverage to negotiate as his coalition partners initially were trying to prevent him from leading the government.

Germans had some real issue back in the day like the whole Europe does right now. How not to turn to ethnicism. The problem yet with hitler was his pseudoethnicism. He was an imperialist. And a hinest one. But imperialism.. is just wrong cause it is unfair to take someones land just for.. zotical space. It is barbaric.if only he had staued inside his boarders.

This isn’t even true though. Hitler got second with only a little over a third of the vote in 1932. In the next year’s elections after seizing power and persecuting his political rivals, the Nazis didn’t even win an outright majority.
