I'm currently running an EverStart marine battery. Less than $90 at Walmart. It runs fairly decent, but the battery seems to draw down rather quick

Can you turn the handle to the opposite direction? For example, if you wanted to put motor in the middle of a kayak and steer from the the front of the seat?

Unfortunately no. The only way you might be able to do that is to run it in reverse, but it's pretty slow in reverse

The correct way to sight in a scope is to chase your shots were ever your bullets are hitting is where you adjust the crosshairs it works very well when you Have a gun stablelizer and I also realized that 350 are pre sited pretty well at 150yrds

@throttlejockey34 10 ай бұрын
And once you have your scope zeroed, let the rifle cool completely...then, fire a round at the target. The reason being, after all your chasing a bullseye, your barrel is heated. When you take it on a hunt, you'll be firing from a cold bore. Some rifles will have a different point of impact. That's just my method, it's worked for years.

should have bore sighted the gun first to get you in the ballpark that was a waste of ammo to get on. each one of those clicks is only about 1/4 of a inch

You will save ammo and money if you lazer sight in the rifle. Then shoot once, and move the scope crosshairs on the bullet hole while holding the rifle steady. Helps to have a buddy adjust the scope while you hold the rifle steady. That way it takes only one round to sight it in. Once you are sighted in you can shoot groups to check accuracy. Good luck !

Thanks for sharing, every time I go out, I'm picking up trash. Put a 24 lb Watersnake on my 14 Hornbeck with a 50 AH lithium-ion battery. Top speed is 4.4 mph with a 9-mile range at that speed. Pretty amazing. As you probably already figured out, boat trim can make a big difference in max speed.

Nice rifle 😊 I have the Savage Axis ii stainless and have upgraded the stock plus the scope! A really nice scope for this cartridge is a 1-4.. I went with a Bushnell Prime 1x4x32! Inexpensive.. but boy is it crystal clear! Best $120 scope that I ever purchased!!!! A little bit of advice.. Scopes are 1/4 MOA at one hundred yards. So.. here's a breakdown to move your scope! At one hundred yards.. four clicks equals one inch At fifty yards eight clicks equals one inch At twenty five yards sixteen clicks equals one inch Two hundred yards.. two clicks equals one inch I used to do exactly what you did.. until someone else gave me that advice 😊 Also.. try the Winchester and Federal 180 grain loads! Those loads will cleanly take any Whitetail! Complete pass through leaving an amazing blood trail! Heard a lot of people stating that the 150 grain loads hit hard.. but don't exit! There's not a lot of blood on the ground when that happens! Anyways.. great job and good luck with your 350 Legend ❤

Yes! The Weaver 3-9x that came with my Axis 350 Legend was not right for that rifle. I switched to a 1-4x Vortex and leave it set it on 2x. This is a close range cartridge and there is no good use for more power. Savage would do their customers a favor to include a 1-4x or a fixed 2x instead of the 3-9x. My Axis came with the worst trigger I have ever had on a rifle. I installed the M*Carbo kit and -- wow!-- what a difference! I also agree on the Federal Power Shok 180 gr. I haven't tried the Winchesters, the Federals shoot very well from mine.

I agree. I found putting the motor depth just enough under the water to keep cavitation from happening gave best speed. Putting it deeper in the water slowed the canoe down.

I always keep mine loaded with snake shot. It does real well as a snake gun with the longer barrel. Typically can get the barrel about 3-4' away from a copperhead and it fires a fairly tight group ending the snake quickly. Any longer/more crazy snakes - I'd feel fine being further back and maybe having to shoot 2-3 times.
