Loved this so much! Especially the 2 minute rule… those little tasks can build up to be so overwhelming so it’s amazing to do them as they come and not leave it all for one time. I will try to incorporate that more into my day today!

I was working at a plastic manufacturing company, and on certain orders that needed to be filled accurately, I would be put on that line to finish the order or make sure it started correctly and when I handed it off to the next person I would instruct them on the particulars of it after doing this for a year I was not told that I was either appreciated for my dedication to the work or acknowledge for it

Most minimum wage jobs don't give a damn about you. You are trading an hour of your life for money. That burger meal that costs $13 after tax means it almost costs an hour of your life if you work minimum wage.

I agree. It doesn't matter where you work, or what you get paid....employees should feel seen and valued for their work, and that is not typically the case.

Asking "is everything okay?" is rude & embarrassing. It's completely normal to look away for a bit. And if something is wrong, the person will decide to tell you or not. You have to trust who you're with enough to know they value you or don't value you! Don't base it off them getting distracted! If my friend did this to me, I would act so awkward & feel uncomfortable.

Totally agree. That would not be a normal reaction in a friend relationship. My videos are really meant for leaders in the workplace. I hope that leaders will give their full attention to their employees and do everything they can to help their people feel seen and valued, even in just casual conversations.
