It’s funny because most lightsabers which aren’t red are actually alive and would therefore probably be capable of getting sick of all the combat. Kyber crystals are alive and need to be “bled” to be integrated within a lightsaber and wielded by a Jedi or Sith, but to my knowledge all red lightsabers are synthetic and aren’t derived from living crystals. Luke’s green lightsaber in RoTJ may be synthetic, so a synthetic and non-living lightsaber doesn’t have to be red, it isn’t unique to red lightsabers and the Sith.

@@arthurfleck629 I appreciate your knowledge from expanded universe, in canon I believe the explanation is all crystals are living and dark side users pour all of their anger and hatred into the crystal causing it to bleed red. It gives the sort of idea that the Sith conquer life just as they conquer their other crystal. Which also means a Jedi can put its life and light back into a crystal that has been bled, purifying it, which is where white sabers come from.
