This wheel is awesome. But i dont buy it yet, because my old thrustmaster wheel and pedals still working good so why to spend more money :) when my actual wheel stop working, then i can think about it. But yes, nice wheel for trucking :)

While Moza produces direct-drive steering wheels, Hori made everyone laugh by designing a gear driven device. And the overall design looks suspiciously like Scania.

will the wheel parts be individually available after release encase you spill your coffee while trying to miss tumble weed in the desert for example? or would you have to buy the complete setup for a 2nd time? what is the force feedback like at the hardest settings like an old truck without power steering? what type of mounting holes does it use for a rig setup? as desk mounting while ok for those that got the settings down to no force feedback is useless for those that want a realistic feel which can only come from using it on a rig. how far have the SCS team tried to push the wheel to it's limits of what a normal gamer would expect the wheel to withstand and then some more? there are so many questions that I feel were not answered in the whole of this demo, I know not release date yet, but these are things the more serious gamers will want to know.

Most modern American trucks have only 1350-1370 degrees of steering rotation. I've studied this topic intensely, and I'm still not sure where the 1800 number comes from. Can someone provide a truck make and model that has 1800 degrees of steering rotation?

Every truck I've driven was 2 and a quarter turns at least from center to lock. Thats 1530 degrees.

Maybe it's from a time long ago from before there was power steering, I don't know much rotation the truck I drove had, but it was quite some work to get round.

Nice, but it's designed for Euro Truck Simulator, not ATS, which I play. I've already switched to the new Moza TSW Truck Steering Wheel. Waiting on the Moza Stalk to release. I also have a real Eaton 18-speed shift knob on a shift extension from the floor mounted base. Super realistic! Except for the actual mechanics of a real manual transmission.

@@SIMRIG412 The trucks in the game are not...lol. European truck are obviously designed very differently from American trucks. My point was that the controls, mainly the shifter, is designed for Euro trucks.

£550/$600? That's extremely overpriced. Judging by the product, it's very plastic. Buttons weren't aligned correctly. Oof. To anyone out there - Buy a new GPU and grab yourself a controller. Not worth that price.

I mean you have moza right now. As soon as they release R3 bundle, you will be able to buy their truck wheel, clutch pedal, stalks for probably 200-250 on top of what this costs. Which feels like it might be worth considering how poorly this seems to be built.

will this be aviable in the EU? Upon on searching on Hori only site that coms up is USA and UK, and both are outside of EU and therefore this will be pricey due to import tax. would like to know.

All it needs is the ability to adjust the tilt of the wheel and you have the ultimate driving simulator wheel, not just for SCS Truck Sim but BeamNG and Farming Simulator as well.

Btw you should add an option under transmission option to use whatever the truck is using, and then have manual and automatics to add to the truck, so if you switch trucks often, and want some with an automatic and some without, you don't have to change the settings all the time.

All transmissions in both games are either automated manuals or Allison torque-automatics but the ability to assign it per-vehicle would be nice regardless.
