I think Paul’s “Tonight, you belong to me” was the best song from the solo albums!

They shoukd have create characters for Singer and Thayer too... It would have cut off criticism and give a fresh air for a new kiss after the 'Reunion Era"... A great mistake.

My mom (who was a hardcore Christian) didn’t like Alice, but loved this song My God. I tried to get it played at her memorial but my 5 younger brothers and sisters wouldn’t let me because it was Alice. I gave my son Patrick the middle name Steven because of this song

There's an audience for DaDa and I'm one of those people. It's among the ten best albums I've ever listened to. Very often I play it.

I will believe Eddie Kramer over Paul and Gene when he says that Ace was always focused in the studio and a pleasure to work with. I wonder how much of G and P saying Ace was horrible to have play in studio had to do with G and P themselves being horrible band mates.

Been a diehard KISS fan since 1976. This is the first time I have ever heard of Vinnie's character being referred to as the "Wiz" or "Wizard". I also never knew that Gene and Paul came up with Vinnie's name.

I think it's a great cover too...I always figured it was Paul's idea to do it. Those girl groups from the 60's were just awesome and had timeless hits, and it seemed very New York to me. And with Kiss being from New York, it seemed like a great match. Such a simple song, but a great hook. Isn't that what Rock n Roll is all about?

I remember being real surprised when I saw the title of the song on the album ! I just assumed they did it as a joke or a gag. It was “ ok”. Paul could’ve just answered the question with, we did it as a gag and had fun with it. IMO, I think that’s what KISS did with it.

Here we go with the "Gene and Paul suck" crap. Its hilarious because it was Gene and Paul writing the songs that got them to 1978. After 5 years of writing and producing the music that made Kiss famous, Ace comes in with a handful of good songs and thats "proof" that he was the talent? 😂 As if they rode the "genuis" of Cold Gin for 5 years just waiting for Ace to show his brilliance. If the onus of success had been on Ace, they would've never made it to 1978 to make the solo albums. What a bunch of half wits who can't get off their knees for Ace and Peter and don't realize if not for Gene and Paul no one would give a crap about either of them. At some point we should probably acknowledge how sloppy and loose both Ace and Peter played. If they were so essential why TF did Kiss keep selling recirds long after they were gone?

I saw an interview with Paul, KZbin Recommended video btw, where Paul did say what Ace said here, that Ace came up with the logo but Paul polished it by making the lines more angular.

So on LOVE GUN they were afraid to get outside their genre and the album was a HUGE success...Then on their 4 solo albums all but Ace went outside of their genres and Ace's solo album was the one (of the 4) that succeeded... THEN they did Dynasty which also went outside their genre and it failed miserably (yes later as they "metalized" 'I Was Made for Lovin You and it became a staple but the album failed). THEN they went pop rock with Unmasked (failed) then opera rock with The Elder (failed)... Sounds like the band's fear of going too far outside their genre on Love Gun was well founded!! KISS was a HARD ROCK band period...forget the disco, the punk, the pop, the rock opera, the grunge and stick to what MADE KISS - bombastic hard rock.

Admirable! Inspite of a depression (?) Paul still has discipline to give answers. To work. His voice still is fascinating.
