Thank you for this thought provoking song, I really loved it. Sadly, history is littered with individuals who weren't clever enough to be stupid but there was always hope and there still is today..

First of all, the musicality of it is first rate. Secondly, the lyric and the vocals and the whole feel is warm and inciting the listener to pay attention and learn. There and lastly, I love it. We need more socially aware musicians who aren’t afraid to stand up for what’s right and just.

Beautifully done. Fantastic tribute to George. Thank you so much for introducing George to me. We had a great few weeks together on those Saturday afternoons. As you know I've followed Poco since 1971 so honored when you brought him by the store. I felt it then and I still feel now that I am now a friend of rock-'n'-roll royalty. Thanks my Brother.

I patterned my drumming after Ringo and then George came along and his pattern was the one I followed after that. I was so fortunate to see him play twice. Spoke to him once, up close and told him that I still Love his drum solo on Drivin' Wheel from Poco 7 and he just lit up. Thanks Tom and George, I Love you. Doug up in Green Bay, WI🥁
@tomhampton3 ай бұрын
Funny that you mention "Drivin' Wheel" - in this video, there's a scene from a local used record store near where we live, and the camera pans from the store owner over to GG as he's nodding and smiling..."Drivin' Wheel" is the song that's playing in the store during that scene. :)

Tom, your words and music in this piece are so special and meaningful. I love and enjoy all your music, but the time and love you have given to George is what I admire the most about you. This song and Ashley Campbell's 'Remembering' are probably the best songs that capture the essence of this terrible disease. I know first hand what it means to love someone who doesn't remember you........
@tomhampton3 ай бұрын
Yeah, man...Ashley earned her perspective by living through it, too, for sure. Even after GG's stroke, he'd have lapses with his short term memory, but the dropoff during the year he was here was pretty crazy to watch. You know how your gas tank takes forever to go from full to half a tank and then from there, you go to E almost instantly? It was like that in a lot of ways.
@1954IndiansFan3 ай бұрын
@@tomhampton The gas tank is an excellent analogy. My mother had dimentia. Her first half tank lasted several years, then the second half was gone in 18 months.....
