Nicht schlecht.👍 Aber der PK-Mann wird wohl kaum im Russischen Hinterland den Angriff vom Boden aus mit der Kamera begleiten.😄. Technisch aber gut gemacht.

Nose art " Alles kaputt " is not original ! 99% an US add...
@sergiogregorat18303 ай бұрын
It is curious to note that in the days when "Alles kaputt" was happily arriving in the States, a B-25 crashed into the Empire State Building (I don't know what nose art it had).
@FiveCentsPlease2 ай бұрын
@@gringoloco5989 Correct "Alles Kaputt" was painted on after it was captured. Helpful POW Luftwaffe mechanics serviced the plane and the engines before the trans-Atlantic flight to the US. It is a shame that it was later scrapped instead of preserved.

Good Lord, what's with the music? Rudy Vallee? But this idea that this 4 engine slug could survive without long range fighter escort is ludicris.
@Alexandros114 ай бұрын
What are you talking about? Where did you get that idea from? I've never heard anyone say anything about long range fighter escort. It wasn't a long range bomber, so it didn't get fighter escort, it was predominantly used for patrol/transport duties. The music is there as an emotional tribute to the aircraft.
@scootergeorge70894 ай бұрын
@@Alexandros11 - A slow, lumbering aircraft. The 8th AF found out the heavily armed B-17 and B-24 heavy bombers could not operate in daylight without fighter escort. And the Luftwaffe found it difficult to escort bombers across the channel to London from France. The Junkers Ju 290 was a large German, four-engine long-range transport, heavy bomber and maritime patrol aircraft.
@Alexandros114 ай бұрын
@@scootergeorge7089 Irrelevant, the Ju 290 was not an aircraft that filled a role comparable to the B-17 or B-24. The Ju 290 was not a heavy bomber, it was a maritime patrol and escort aircraft. Wikipedia erroneously claims it was a bomber, it was not. The Ju 290B was the only planned variant of the Ju 290 that would have a bomb bay or be used as a heavy bomber - it was planned in 1943, and in 1944 one A-9 was allotted to the B program, but ultimately not a single 290B variant was produced. Thus, the aircraft never had a bomber variant, and it was not a heavy bomber. The B version differs significantly from the A model anyway, incorporating a different nose, and of course adding a bomb bay.
@Mishn04 ай бұрын
It was used as a long range heavy transport and as a long range maritime reconnaissance aircraft. It wasn't intended to face fighters. I believe they flew one all the way to Japan, non stop. It was a pretty good aircraft.

Waaait what happened to that last crashed one?
@Alexandros114 ай бұрын
That is a Ju 290 A-1, Wr. Nr. 0154 that was found by allied troops near Bizerta, in Tunisia. The aircraft was flown by Hauptmann Kurt Vogel and crashed on Saturday 1st May 1943, nobody was killed in the accident. That particular aircraft had only been delivered in February, and thus had only been in service for around 3 months. The circumstances of the crash, were that the aircraft struck the ground short of the runway while landing at night at the edge of Sidi Achmed Airfield. The crew reported the aircraft as 50% damaged, and the decision was made to subsequently abandon it, which is how the allies discovered it. A propaganda film crew was invited to record the aircraft, as encountering the Ju 290 was rather an unusual occurrence in the war, as it was quite a rare aircraft (and strikingly, very large). Subsequently, a newsreel was recorded, and broadcast back in Britain - it ended only being a small segment - but that is where the footage shown in this video comes from. You can find the full reel on KZbin.

Man these are awsome. You definitely have a created a unique platform not just for war thunder players, but for ww2 and dogfight enthusiasts. Although your viewership seems to be unaided by the algorithm 😪 I wish you wouldve had the chance to finish it. Im sure if your videos would've gotten enough exposure, you would've easily been able to secure a viewer base and surely a means to fund the project until eventually it could have started paying your bills. I hope you eventually regain the chance to come back to this video format. For now, you definitely got my sub. 🙏🏽 Best wishes to you sir.

Thanks, in IL2 I get a constant 60FPS at 4K max graphics, so the 2080ti won't make a difference there (I just use iMovie, which forces 30 fps at export) - the 2080ti will make more of a difference in MSFS 2020 and Arma 3 I suspect :)

How often would a real dogfight go on like this do you think? Imagine how mentally exhausted and how bad your neck would hurt after the adrenaline wore off
@Alexandros11 Жыл бұрын
Quite often, I've multiple accounts from Adolf Galland, Hans-Joachim Marseille, having very extended and intense dogfights (over 5 minutes). But yeah, it must have been unbelievably taxing both physically and mentally. Not only because of the G-forces, and constant inversion and strength yanking on the stick, but the psychological knowledge that if you mess up there's a very good chance you're going to die.
