Normally death spirals are caused by populating one area all suddenly, rather than gradually. My city did not have that occur, simply the death care got overwhelmed by the increase of the city size and population. The industry surge of demand is a separate issue caused by not having enough goods to supply commercial buildings. Offices and any type of industrial area can help that. In this case the demand just kept coming and coming and coming.

for the storm, they dont like being in storms and storms break fences, sends the animals crazy sometimes to the point the break fences themselves.

Ahh, yea, it hurts your park rating if you leave them out there. If you get them in shelters it lessens that effect. Edit: I must test this out as an experiment and see if my statement is correct.
