Hey Kai Xin! Thank you for your insights on the NM modules! I would like to seek further understanding on some of the NM4247 assignments? Can I ask what's the topic focus of the NM4247 personal essay? Also, for the video script report, can you choose the brand that you will be working on, or is it going to be assigned to you? And do you have any tips for acing NM4247's assignments (especially the personal essay and video script)! Thank you so much!

Hello! Can I check how the class part for this mod is? I.e. if one doesn't really class part, would grades be really affected?

@kaixinsoh2 жыл бұрын
@@markusng4430 haha no worries! hm, i'd say class part is an important element of every Bizclass (which you're probably aware of). so yes, the honest answer is: *if you don't class part at all, then your grades would for sure be affected* (especially since class participation makes up a whopping 30% for BSP-at least for mine!). 😅
@kaixinsoh2 жыл бұрын
that said, i'd advise you (and other students) not to stress too much about class part. some tips: 1. preparing in advance helps a lot 2. if you really struggle to come up with original points of your own, you can expand upon or respond to classmates' points 3. don't be too harsh on yourself (if you have a genuine question you're unsure about, don't be afraid to ask! There's no "stupid" questions and others may appreciate it) 4. most important thing to remember is that *quality > quantity* 😄 i can make a video talking bout class part and my tips in future if you think that'd be helpful! hope this helps, and all the best!

Hey Kai Xin! Your work for NM3217 was so great! May I ask what softwares you used to 1. create the gifs on your website? and 2. create the work (photoshop, etc)? Thank u!
@kaixinsoh2 жыл бұрын
aw, wow, thank you so much for the compliments! ❤ you totally made my day, so ty :) 1. i made the gifs using Photoshop :) (specifically, for the ones showing my process on Photoshop, i took screenshots of separate frames, then stitched them together) 2. yes, for most of the designs, i used Photoshop, but the module also teaches/uses some InDesign and Illustrator :) HAHA it's a lil more complicated to explain how *exactly* i made the work... 😅 but if you do wanna learn about how to use the different softwares, hehe i'd highly recommend you to take NM3217 for yourself. ☺ you can watch KZbin tutorials too and try stuff out-that's how i taught myself graphic design since Sec Sch :)

Hi did u take any modules under interactive-media-development in CNM, its a minor offered by CNM. Im interested in those modules.

Hihi! Yes, I took 4 modules from the IMD minor 😊 1) NM3222 Interactive Storytelling 2) NM3230 Digital Storytelling 3) NM3217 Principles of Communication Design 4) NM4227 Game Studies (under the updated curriculum, NM4260 Game Design will replace this-although there should be some similarities as the content from NM4227 was incorporated into NM4260) For NM3217 and NM4227, I have a mod review for both in this video here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eJ-TdKaBbbSinbM but if you would like to ask more questions about them / the other mods, feel free to DM me on Instagram at @kaixin.soh! :)
