Yesterday my team had 5 DPS and I was the only support and it was the payload on 2099 game. My team was defending and the enemy got the payload to .5m away when overtime ran out. My friends were saying how that game was terrible and team comp sucked. I just said “we won though” cause it doesn’t matter if the game was not going good as long as you win.

I agree it really doesn’t feel like season 4 finale I felt like this whole season 4 is rushed because the cast didn’t think it was the last season. It’s alot of unfinished storylines RsJ didn’t return this season and we didn’t see much of rashad Tate 2bit.

I would blame the player, not the game... We have been playing in this game for 24 years now and believe me, except for Ironman's infinite which really is not that easy to do, we really dont fear the infinites... This isnt MSH or Xmen vs SF... Except for Ironman who can literally wipe out anyone when combined with the proton cannon and a DHC, there are no real infinites in MVC2 as there is a stun meter that stops the infinite when in reaches 40 or more hits... Magneto and Storm's strongest suits are resets and their speed, which can be blocked if you know how to... MVC2 has been like this for 24 years now and it is fine as it is... You wanna keep playing the game then get better so you wont be beaten that easily... If you cant even do that but whine about losing to a veteran then by all means, stop playing and play or do something else... Because no one will adjust to your level of skill and whether we use low or high tier we will always go 100 percent all out on you...

And talk about contradictions.. first you say Iron man can 0 to death anyone. then you say no one has infinites, really no other characters have infinites? have you been living under a f@cking rock? there are hundreds of tutorials on doing infinites in MvC2 And to top it all off you say "A game with dozens of infinites is fine as it is" wtf? If MvC2 would've been made today it would've been patched to no end. Take off you're nostalgia pink colored glasses, MvC2 is a mess. I'll bet anything that no one will be playing it a month from now unless it's patched, and since Capcom won't, it will die all over again.

It’s amazing how modern fighting games are bashed because of balance affecting the integrity of “competition ” calling said game “uncompetitive” However, No one talks about how broken & unbalanced these 90s classics are in competition. The prevailing narrative is that classic arcade games especially MVC2 are competitive”. Which ironically are not. Game devs back in the day did not design games for competition. If mvc2 were developed today, there would had been plenty of patches to “fix” the broken-ness. Buy the collection for casual fun. They are good games. Competitive games definitely not.

@justinmercado1185 very very good point! Back then games were definitely unbalanced but they were still fun and had the impact. I also think it's generations too. I do believe people were competitive back then but we didn't have the big following and I still believe you can be competitive with your friends. I just wouldn't recommend these games to someone that's starting to play fighting games

It's mostly match making but also people only hearing good things about the gae. It's definitely fun but also broken and unbalanced in some very extreme ways. People don't usually talk about the brokenness as much in the open outside of the fgc. The reminiscing is strong and people have those rose colored glasses on not realizing that people have been grinding and figuring out how to exploit the game while everyone else was just going about their lives.

Why would you play anyone that's won World tournaments in this game and get mad about loosing? That's sort of like Playing against SonicFox in MK or Go1 in DBFZ and refunding the game after you play against him, Knowing full well who he is. Misplaced Pride. Gotta love it.
