Hey bro, I'm 38 too! Well, I believe that all of these will be in demand. The real question is which area among these you are better in right now and what you enjoy the most. I am saying this because the competition is getting tougher each year. You need to pick one and be ready to go the extra mile. Promoting your agency is infinitely easier if you specialize in one service. There is no such question as Upwork, website, or LinkedIn. You need all of them. It's where your clients are. You have to figure out how to land clients on one platform, then you can add another. Now, I am getting about 60% from Upwork and the rest from LinkedIn and Twitter.

My opinion that there is always the room for the best. So it's just not the right approach to pick the niche based on the approach that it seems less competitive. I would do quite the opposite: pick the niche that seems harder and slowly but steadily build a name there and learn what it takes. I don't see AI as a threat to most marketing niches, at least in the next 10 years.

@greengreen3370 Thanks for this comment! I certainly consider evaluating the job post as critical, but I hadn't considered the job posts themselves as being AI written! And yes, if so, avoid them!

@@rickboyerdev you welcome, i remember there was a built-in AI in Upwork for clients, when they use it it displayed "job post created with AI" they removed the tag now due to the massive lack of engagement from freelancers I think, I relised that when I started noticing a lor of similarities between various job posts, here's a fresh AI generated post I found right now: We are seeking a talented and creative logo designer who can craft a distinctive brand identity. good job mate, I'm a logo designer too but this year is particularly tough, I used to get jobs way easier before, they reduced the fees to 10% now but I'm starting to feel like it was a scam cause in the other hand they increased the amout of connects needed for a job to the point where it's surpassing the old 20% fees.

Yes, that's the whole point; you need a ton of connects now. I am doing my best to increase LTV of current clients and effectively spend connects. But by and large situation is worsening every day.

@@greengreen3370 From my perspective, I agree that the connects now are expensive, but it also makes you apply to the only jobs you are sure the client will reach out to you, and it minimise the competition in some jobs ( especially the jobs that require 16 connects ).

First of all, it's a good start. If you lose many potential clients in the interview phase, it's a signal that you need to improve your communication skills. It's not necessarily the mastery of English but the clear delivery of your ideas. I am reading a lot on this topic and working hard to deliver my ideas straight to the point. Regarding the recent drop in new clients, don't forget that it's summer. Most of us are getting fewer jobs in Summer.

It's a weird term "proposal spamming." Because every proposal costs $1-2, so you customize it to maximize your chances of getting the job. From my experience, a 4% conversion rate is pretty good, but you can share yours if you have better results.

@@levtone Eventually I had better results, because, in conversion from $ to Pkr, it's a very huge amount, that's why you are saying that a 4% conversion rate is very good, But honestly my results are way better than this, I'm able to generate 4-5 leads from each 10 proposal and in 1 or 2 got hired. Proposal Spamming is term generated by me, meaning sending one single proposal template to everyone.

Proposal Spamming means sending a similar proposal template to each client. Your results are pretty good, But Honestly, I have generated way better results than this! Probably because $ conversion to Pkr is a huge number for me and my goal is to generate a lead from each proposal!

I usually ask for feedback after we finish some milestones. After we finished the first five videos, or 40-50 hours billed, I just asked to end the contract and migrate to the identical new one. 9 out of 10 are doing this favor for me.

And btw on Monday I will release another experiment where I tried to make $1000 in 10 days with a new account. But overall it's all about the quantity of proposals and the strength of your cover letter (proofs, testimonials, understanding of clients task).

@Zack-0021 So I would suggest you to rewatch these episodes and follow the approach. But if you want to fundamentally improve your acquisition process I would recommend to read these books: 1. The Adweek Copywrtiting Handbook by Joseph Sugarman. 2. Robert Collier Copywriting Course.
