Canada is not a quasi socialist country. It is a liberal democracy. Universal Health Care does not make a country socialist. But then how would you know because the USA doesn't have a left to speak of. You have Centrists, Moderates and MAGA. Oh and fyi, every other country in the developed world has Universal Health Care except the US. If Universal Health Care were socialist, my prescriptions and glasses would be paid for, but nope. So please fact check yourself before calling Canada socialist. We also don't have a giant ice wall at the border and we don't all live in igloos. And VP Harris's name is KA-ma-la, not ka MAH-la. Hi Kelly, thanks for your comments... Canada is very much a "Quasi-Communist" country... please take a moment to research the history of Socialism in Canada... especially the history of the NDP party in Canada (founded by Tommy Douglas who, coincidentally was Donald Sutherlands father-in-law and Kiefer Sutherlands grandfather). I am well aware that Canadians don't live in Igloos and, of course there is not a wall of ice along the Canadian border. On a personal level, I believe that health-care, dental-care, pharma-care, social welfare for all are great, but keep in mind that they have to be paid for and there is only one source of revenue for the government and that is the taxpayers pocket. The wages of government employees at all levels, civic, provincial and federal far outstrip the wages and benefits of the private sector in Canada... In other words, if you want any kind of security in Canada, you had best work for one of those levels of Government.

Every September in Canada, elementary school children have to take part in the Terry Fox run at school.... it was torture for us non athletic kids, haha.
