Vickie, thank you for sharing your Azure standard order. I have been wanting to try them for years and finally will do it. You are the second person I've seen that ordered the canning jars and very impressed with what I hear.

Just added the jars to my order. Trying to stay USA made but I will try them. I was on the fence. I hope they find a USA manufacturer because then I would be buying more.

Azure canning jars work out to be less expensive than canning jars in the stores. They are made to with stand more pressure than the other canning jars.

I bought 2 cases of the pint and a half wide mouth, no lids or rings, and now I wish I had bought more😢. I do have tons of the Ball though. I bought them years ago when they didn’t seem as popular. I can only order from Azure in summer and Christmas break due to school schedule. Drop is an hour away and drop time is all over the place.

I don't peel them. If I had to do that, they'd never get processed! Apricot peels reduce well with heat and they add a bit of tanginess.

I hear you. I'm in Henderson and a couple of weeks ago it hit 120! I try to use the grill or just heat up some of my canned goods on the stove top. At least we have AC. I don't know how anyone survived here before ac!

Thank you. It has been 2 years now this week. I made a decision to fight this evil from my own backyard. I am now Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the domestic violence agency in this area, and we make a priority of educating in schools and the public what safe relationships look like. I can’t bring Shana back, but maybe we can prevent at least one person from being a victim. God bless!

Thank You! My neighbor gave me most as many of her pears as I wanted off of 4 about 40 years old trees. It was like pear heaven. They were as big as my hand. Which went a bit over half way around them. I took some to church for everyone. We didn’t even begin to get a good start on picking them. Going on a cruise next week; will probably go back over there when we get back. I canned about 24 quarts from our little tree. Between the free pears & we have 2 medium size Fig trees I’ve been busy for 2 months. I canned 72 Pints of Jello Fig Preserves. Strawberry, Raspberry; Cherry; & Regular Figs. I don’t like figs but this Jello Fig Preserves is the best Preserves We’ve ever eaten. God Bless You In Your Canning Journey. I’ve canned quite a bit through the years. Just doing my own thang. Now I’m getting a whole new education about do’s & donts of canning. BE BLESSED!

Every ricotta recipe I've seen is made from left over whey after making a farmer's cheese or mozzarella. It looks milky because it is. You just made a farmer's cheese. That's the left over whey which can now be used to make ricotta.

We have bouts of smoke in the air from Canada's fires. Would this be a problem for drying with smoke in the air?
@VickiesCountryHome16 күн бұрын
We sometimes have smoke from California and even local fires. I don’t use this when there is smoke in the air, because you would probably taste it in the dehydrated foods.
