I'm not sure why it needed to be someone significant that shot Kaji. I always took the muppet in the shades and suit who gives Misato her I.D. and firearm back after saying "A solution to the problem has been found." "Where is he?" "I wouldn't know that." It's clear it was the no name suits that offed Kaji. The entire episode is basically them hunting him down with what leads they have. Rearing his head to save Fuyutski is what gave him away if not the Adam sample he transfered to Gendo. The suits wanted him gone for a while now. It makes for a much more powerful scene when it is a nobody.

I would love to see them combine Sonic CD and Sonic Heroes for Metal Sonic's story in Sonic 4. Would love to see Metal Overlord and hearing "What I'm Made Of"

Sonic 3 completely changed my opinion on the movies. The fact that they played "Live and Learn" and included cameos from "Sonic Heroes" really shows the love and respect they have for the original Sonic fans. It’s a true tribute to the O.G Sonic fans.

I love when the audience is aware of something that the main character is not. That's why Shinji can not figure out who the pilot is until it is too late. It's obvious who it is when you are on the outside looking it but it is not obvious to Shinji. I love it when stories do this. I was really looking forward to the Toji stuff in the rebuilds and then fucking Asuka is in Unit 03? Oh go away. This episode is way better. Haha.

I thought the exact same thing in the evas 00 and 01’s combined attack on that angel. All of the rest looks like scary demons, and this one’s just a ✨prism✨

Idk why I thought this, probably my tiny brain not paying enough attention, but I thought Misato was the one who shot kaji and that she really didn't want to because she actually still loved him but she knew that if she resisted she would be put back in whatever prison thing she was in. If you look at it from that perspective the episode is almost even more depressing.

I honestly think that the lance was thrown from one of the SEELE ships in the air as the angle it came from looked as if it came from the sky. If it isn't that; Then the Eva she only cut the leg from got back up and threw it and somehow nobody saw. (Yeah I'm the Mass Production EVA, that's me.)

I remember seeing this movie in 2006 and I gotta say - it taught me a valuable lesson about looking out of your window all the time 😂 now as a near-29-year-old, I can actually look back and see just how much love was put into this movie. And being able to snag Lance Henriksen speaks volumes.

The scene where asuka is like “Mr kaji! Help me! I’m soiled! My mind! It’s ruined!” After the mindrape scene had me bugging out bro I was scared shitless. The whole episode had me crying.

I’m upset that there isn’t any scene of Asuka speaking German in Rebuild. She should have called Shinji “dummkopf” at least once in 2.0. The ADV dub of NGE was liberal with her German lines being more common, but even the original Japanese had her speak German several times, (saying “guten morgen” to Shinji for example.)

No the hospital scene isn't the lowest point for Shinji, it's the lowest point for the entire series.

Fun fact: Number 5 was inspiration for the end of Final Fantasy XVI's opening where Ifrit(Clive) beats Phoenix(Joshua) to death, then bites his neck open. Clive begs for the second Eikon of Fire to stop, but it refuses and supposedly kills Joshua. This saddened and angered Clive, to the point where his journey of revenge begins when he was 22. Cidolfus accompanied him to face Bernadikta after witnessing Shiva fighting Titan(both of which turned out to be Jill and Hugo); afterwards, they defeat Bernadikta, she transforms into Garuda the Eikon of Wind, and attacks Clive. The young man realized Ifrit has returned, so he turned into him and fought Garuda(Bernadikta) in a kaiju wrestling match. To calm him down, Cidolfus reveals his form as Ramuh and sends his staff onto Clive. He fell unconscious upon impact, and woke up later. It took years until Clive was able to master Ifrit, until Cidolfus dies when Ultima appears from the destroyed Mothercrystal, with Joshua arriving to the scene, now known as 'The Undying'. When Clive was in his 30s, just two years after Cid's death and him absorbing Ramuh's power, he reunites with Joshua and together enter a final confrontation with Ultima after the defeat of Hugo/Titan/Titan Lost, and Dion/Bahamut.
