Nice! Cool to see my flight included around the 4:00 mark. Motor was an H295 Smoky Sam

Yeah I thought that I'd include it since I've only uploaded videos with low power rockets until this video.

There is one launch from 2023 that was not included in this video so if you want to watch it, use the following link or my channel page; kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZnjVcoBvZsqEh7M

Wow, you’re brave for launching with all those trees around you. Congrats on the successful flight!

Thanks 👍. I knew it would not go high enough and I had a theory that even if the wind was pushing it, that it would not go far which is why I launched it there.

Great camera work with the drone. Good tracking! Just subbed! 😊

Thanks for the sub! I had to edit out a chunk of it due to it taking a little while until it could be seen, but the credit for the drone goes to Scenic studios.

For those who want it, there is a summary of what the different parts do in the description.

I tried using an altimeter to see the height that it went and it caused the parachute to wreck but it went around 234ft.

I always had to chase mine like a mile away from the house after the wind blew it off course.. it was a lot of fun though.

I can relate to having to chase mine.

Very cool - back in another lifetime (starting circa 1980), I worked as a front line child care worker with some very emotionally disturbed young boys (victims of abuse, neglect, assault, etc.). They were between the ages of six and 12 who were in long term residential care in a group home facility in south Kansas City that was operated by the Daughter's of Charity, a Catholic organization. I lived in a more rural town in an adjacent county where there were spacious parks. These kids needed structure, just like normal folks, so I asked Sister Ellen to fund a hobby rocket project so we could get them engaged in assembly, construction, cooperation, painting and finally launching some rockets. Behavior modification was the rule of the day, so the boys knew not to act out if it meant forfeiting participation. I could not possibly tell you what makes the models were, but they were no more than 12" tall and perhaps 1" in diameter with a small parachute that would pop out. They were so excited when launch day came and off we went to a huge school field. Joy and gasps all around. They probably went 400 to 500 feet up, more or less, but the kids were OVER THE MOON! They talked about that for weeks to come. I went on to work over 17 years in social services, then moved on to another different career path. If I were to distill all that the youngsters actually taught ME it would be this: Children learn what they live. It's called role modeling. I think you know that. ; - )
