I always do multiple save slots out of habit from the old days, so i am sorry i didn't think to mention that. Though i did mention to make a new save that you would be going back to. As for getting your save back, the only thing i can think of is to see if you can download your cloud save from PSN if you have PS+ (any tier). You would most likely go into setting and save management, do no just click options and "SYNC SAVE DATA" on the game because that will sync the cloud to your console data. That is your only hope. The part i am unsure about is if you just speed run the game on the easiest difficulty, skipping the dialogue and cutscenes, will it have all the stuff you did previously registered. The first time i played through it felt long but when i put the game on VERY LIGHT and skipped everything i got through a lot of stuff quickly when i was just collectable hunting. Sorry for your data loss

I guess it only works if you have a non-full inventory. Sorry fellow gamer that it didn’t work… maybe replay the previous chapter and make sure your inventory isn’t full at the start of this chapter.

good luck. It seemed to work for a lot of people, i guess this 'Glitch' only works for people without a full inventory. Are you a trophy hunter? what games have you played recently? for some fun and fairly easy plats i recommend The Last Of Us part 1 (use the ps5 built-in collectables stuff from game help, press the PS button and its one of the cards, shows all collectable info with video, works so well) and RoboCop Rouge City. Robocop is a great B-Tier game, and it was recently on sale for like $20, and worth every penny. AC Mirage is fairly easy but takes a little time, though less then AC Origin, Odyssey or Valhalla... like way way less. Alan Wake 2 is also a good plat, mainly because its an amazing game but also only like 1-2 missable trophies.

i think my wheel just went off the track and pulled the car into a spin and i couldn't correct it. However i find American Muscle cars very floaty to drive overall.

@ I just think they need to rework the system because I lost nearly my entire game and had to replay in order to get one coin and one trading card on the second game. @jacklawrencexxthat’s awful, they really need to change the way they do saving so people don’t lose their progress. Only silver lining is that in TLOU2 you need to play the game almost 2 times to get the platinum because there isn’t enough resources to upgrade all weapons fully in 1 playthrough.

@@M9_Prime yeah and the grounded + permadeath trophies are kind of a pain but I got there in the end. Only trophy I’m missing now is completing a daily run on grounded mode

The last of us 2 doesn't need those for the plat, but yes for 100%, I only got the plat... i wasn't brave enough for a Grounded playthrough with permadeath... I have kids and my gaming time is limited, if i was late teens/early 20 you bet i would have those trophies..

GT7 does look amazing. sometimes the replay could be mistaken for a real race.

@@M9_Prime The only thing that raised my suspicions was the grand turismo style camera angles.

American Muscle cars are fun to drive in GT7 but they are not forgiving when you mess up.

Give it another go. I am on my 6th playthrough and it keeps giving me more new areas and dialogue even though I’d thought I’d been thorough. Yet to do an evil playthrough and one in tactician. As a pen and pencil D&D player from the past this is the perfect CRPG IMO.

why do you regret it? A little insight would be good, maybe i have Rose Tinted glasses on and missed some glaring issues.

@@jotaferreira4848 combat gets a lot better when you get used to using actions and bonus actions and surprise. Planning for advantage using your party’s skills, synergies of environment potions, elixirs and throwables can change the whole game in your favour. I played the demo and got wrecked. My first run through was harder than all the others I have done.

I mean $1,000 USD is a little rich for my Canadian bank account.. that would be like $1400 today which is a lot of money for a console. Nintendo may sell a bajillion Switch2s but at the same time i think they have different strengths. I mean if Sony and Microsoft released a real handheld that could natively play PS5 games (and XSX) then would Nintendo still have such a leg up? I may be a little jaded when it comes to Nintendo because i grew up with a GAMECUBE and it was basically a Nintendo Player. Stuff i wanted to play like GTA was available everywhere but the Gamecube or Wii. Luckily i had a good PC back then and played a lot of the missing games there but Nintendo really struggles with 3rd party stuff to this day, though for the Switch its more of an issue with the lack of power to keep up with games that come to current gen consoles.

4.7GB is a Standard DVD.. a dual Layer DVD is 9.8GB.. Single layer Bluray is 25GB and dual Layer is 50GB.. the PS5 uses Ultra-HD Bluray which holds 100GB.. Alan Wake is about 100GB... also companies like Larian (Baldur's Gate 3) put 2 discs in their physical PS5 version and 3 discs in the XSX version (since Xbox Series X doesn't use Ultra-HD Bluray like PS5) so companies can spend the extra 10 cents on discs to give consumers the whole game on the disc if they wanted to, Remedy and Larian did. That's why they are such great companies. I want to play my games without an internet connection if i paid for them. Otherwise i would just get a XBOX and GAMEPASS and never buy a game. please educate yourself on the most basic stuff before saying things like "A DISK CAN MAYBE FIT 4.7GB" unless you are from like 2006... because that was 100% true in 2006

FF7 Rebirth is Fantastic, I loved that game. Sonic X Shadow Generations did catch my eye but I’m not a huge sonic fan so I passed it for now. Are you looking to get Black Myth and Stellar Blade on disc or digital?

Why are they terrible decisions? It’s games I enjoy playing. AC Mirage isn’t bad.. it’s a solid 7.5/10 in my eyes, I enjoy these AC games once in a while, they gameplay loop just works for me.

Not terrible, but all of these games are 6/10 at best. Stars wars outlaws have a few solid ideas, but just wasn’t done right. I actually bought Avatar Frontiers of pandora for $17, but it crashed a lot so I returned it.

What would you have picked up? Or what did you pick up? I thought these were some of the best deals on games I was interested in. If I didn’t have Alan Wake 2 physical I would have gotten that for sure but didn’t expect a sale so soon. Every other game on a good sale like GT7, GoW Ragnarok and other AAA Sony games I already own. I use Black Friday week to get the “I’ll grab it if it’s on sale” games.

When i finish the game i will give my friend the disc to play so i can confirm 100% then, but right now i have no way to doing that. HOWEVER... there are no DLC codes in the box apart from ALAN WAKE 1 REMASTERED. So all the DLC automatically installs when you put the disc in. Since there are no codes, they can't lock it out. Other games i bought usually have the DLC codes in the game case and you need to redeem them to play the DLC. I just put in the ALAN WAKE 2 disc into my console and everything was available to play right away, All Night Springs episodes and The Lakehouse were available to play right away. I believe everything is on the disc. the only reason i can't be 100% sure is because i only have my PS5 at my house with my account on it, but i am 99.9% sure the DLC is tied to the disc since there were no DLC codes in the box and i didn't have to put anything into my PSN account to play them. Remedy did say his was everything on the disc, full game and DLCs. Your scenario of selling the game would be perfectly fine because everything is on disc, only thing that you can redeem is ALAN WAKE 1 Remastered. i hope i helped.

Also when I go to Manage Game Content from the options menu of the game, the digital deluxe upgrade says “usable with disc” And I can’t uninstall the DLCs, they don’t come up as individual downloads like DLCs for other games. The disc is the key to the game and DLCs

I don't usually collect story games so I end up reselling them, and since I had already purchased Alan Wake 1, I will be able to resell the game at a considerable price since it will still have all the DLCs and code available for whoever buys it. i just platinumed Alan Wake 2 a day ago and the game is fantastic. I love how the DLC is (optionally) incorporated into the main game. This disc is the whole experience. You find the DLC chapters in the main game, the Night Springs DLC in Alan's Story and The Lakehouse DLC is in Saga's Story. They do tell you its DLC before you start it but if that notification wasn't there then I would have thought it was just a natural part of the main game. Its done so well, usually DLC is just there or just a separate menu or the worst is when its just hidden somewhere in the world. This is in the story as well as in the menu in case you just want to jump into it. So good.

@M9_Prime Good to know. I played the DLC long after finishing the main campaign, accessing the additional content through the main menu. When I replay the campaign to see the true ending, I'll check out the DLC integration. I'm also glad you enjoyed the game. In the DLC The Lake House, there's a secret extra content that connects to Control. If you haven't seen it, it's worth checking out.

I think the Pro is great but it’s not a huge leap from base PS5… I just want more people to have access to such a great hobby. Movies have a pretty low cost of entry, gaming unfortunately isn’t. I also think it’s a bit crap that a Switch hasn’t gone down in price, the tech in that thing is 9 years old at this point, I can’t believe they couldn’t get the cost of components down in 9 years.

It’s kinda what Xbox did with the series S but they also didn’t put enough RAM in that thing and from what I have heard from places like Digital Foundry it is causing some issues for Devs… I mean technically the PS4 is still viable but they are still pricey. Gone are the days of brand new $100-$200 consoles. Its sad. I would love to pick up a PS5 lite for my son, he keeps hogging my PS5 even though he has his own switch.

But it also came with ROB the robot back then. Though those games were so damn expensive back then too, glad we moved away from carts to discs in the end. My biggest issue is that the price isn’t coming down as the components are getting cheaper. Something that was top of the line in 2020 is no longer top of the line, and those components have reduced in price over the 4 years.

look, i was implying i am worried that SONY has no real competition. Last gen the XBOX One X was a powerhouse, it turned heads. Microsoft didn't do that this time around and Nintendo does whatever they want. I'm worried that Sony is going back to the PS3 days of over confidence and demanding way more money for consoles then we are used to. Unless the Switch 2 can somewhat compete with the PS5 in terms of power, i don't think there will be much incentive for Sony. i do appreciate your input, i don't mind being called a SONY PONY. it is my console of choice but i can admit when they are going down a bad path, but at the same time i hope you can see that Xbox has changed gears and are not the competition they used to be.

the thing is a lot of XBOX exclusives are coming to the PS5.. and playstation had no roadmap for 2024 but it still tuned out pretty good. I am noticing Sony and Nintendo are keeping their announcements within a few months of launch, maybe a year out. I think long gone are the days of a game being announced 2 years out. That seems to be detrimental to publishers, where people anticipate a game and it keeps getting delayed and people lose faith. as for xbox roadmap, can you enlighten me? (i'm not trying to be mean spirited, i honestly don't know definitively) i focus mainly on SONY and NINTENDO because those are the consoles i own, apart from Indiana Jones and the Great Circle (which is coming to the PS5 in 2025), what is XBOX cooking for 2025? Sure there will be a COD but that has to come out on PS5, but apart from that I don't know whats coming. I know they announced Fable a while back but that is still not out.

I think the PRO isn't a bad proposition if you have no PS5 at all, and you have some extra cash but for someone like me, with a PS5 disc console, its a tough pill to swallow for sure. I do know some PC gamers that love to have the best video cards and CPUs, and they pay more then $300 every year or 2 for an upgrade. They do sell their old stuff sometimes to bridge the gap but they still end up paying more then $300 in the end for what i would consider a fairly insignificant upgrade. but to each their own and you are the master of your own wallet.

it almost feels like that SONY from 2005/2006 is showing its head. Telling people to get a second job if they want a PS3. The pricing you say for the PRO feels more fair, and yeah, no disc drive is a bit of a gut punch at the price they are selling it at. It would have been nice to see the base PS5 get a bit of a price drop, especially with the holidays coming up. I agree with the patches, I rarely buy games at launch. I usually wait for a sale in a few months and play a version of the game that is good. I didn't touch CYBERPUNK 2077 until the first major patch and the game was fantastic but a few of my friends had a real rough time at launch on the PS4 (i played PS5, PS5 native version too)

@@theelitedragon2xx Sony could have more competition and they'd still need more money. They aren't selling the console for 700.00 because of competition, they aren't selling peripherals separately for that reason either. They're doing it because people will buy it. PlayStation is trying to position itself as a "premium brand" like Apple has. It's mentioned in the leaks. With a premium model they'll give the minimum and charge for what were value adds. As for the other part, games are too expensive and failure is a real outcome for a lot of these games. They take too long to make, and trends pass... Look at Concord. The best thing to do is not buy day 1, play your backlog. Early adopters are simply being taxed to beta test. People waiting for sales get a finished product.

at the time of filming the Euro was worth about $1.09USD and the British pound was about $1.30USD. So USA gets the best price and everyone pays a little more. And i agree, companies aren't taking losses anymore but that also makes me wonder if (at least in Europe) consoles will have to allow 3rd party stores to be available. Apple had to allow it on their devices in Europe (unfortunately we didn't get that here in North America). I would be more okay with this model if Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft weren't taking about a 30% cut on every game sold on their system, and the fact that they are pushing digital really makes it hard for publishers to do anything without Sony's/Nintendo's/MS's approval. Also my console of choice is PlayStation so i talk about what i know best.

@M9_Prime that's not how conversion works... Doesn't mean it worth more or buys more. That's why the price isn't being adjusted. Europe doesn't care about Apple like the US... They have set a precedent though. 30% is on its way down, but I'm more concerned with our cost going down. Digital and physical games have no reason to be the same price. This is the first time I saw a video of yours, and it's obvious that you are a PlayStation fan. You named old had games like they were new like XBox doesn't have older games. You spoke like every game goes to PlayStation, and they won't. PlayStation 5 is my first, but I've played what I missed from them that's available. That's why I know you're overstating what makes it better. They're remaking games that I just played without bringing much new. Astro was cool, but I didn't get a PlayStation for that... I got it because I wanted something to play on the console. PlayStation isn't more popular because of its exclusives... It's been that way since it was a lot of people's first DVD player.

@adrian40671 I think the crash is coming because of the publishers. They're chasing trends instead of developing games with soul. All of them want a Fortnite, and for whatever reason they though a unique pandemic situation would continue. Budgets are out of control, and they're making games that monopolize people's time. Live service games don't leave room for other games to breathe... Unless they're one of the few heavily marketed games. Nintendo might be taking a poison pill by making a console that runs these games.

It launched pretty much same week as the last DLC. Though pre orders on Amazon came up in June. I’m glad I waited, almost bought the digital version and I didn’t want to double dip.

I've been kicking myself in the ass, ever since I found out there was gonna be a physical release. Cuz I bought it at launch because Remedy said they weren't releasing a physical copy, and I didn't even start playing it until this yr in Oct for halloween season.😖🤬🤦🏽‍♂️

bro if you know nothing about certain out of the blue sequences. you are in for a treat. try reading through all the documents within the game and it helps if you played control. story telling masterpiece it is. have fun.
