I’m gonna get yelled at but a part of me wishes motor boats weren’t allowed on these type rivers…….canoe expedition fly fishing for steelhead. There’s just something pure about that thought.

The 50 and the 60lb are all I use! When I get a 10wt the 70lb will on what I use on it. Best mono on the market. Full stop.

So I attach this line to my backing, and the other end to my shooting head? Have never used monofilament for shooting line. Am I right in doing this? A bit of clarity in the video would help.

@@Earthwatcher57 yes do a double surgeons knot in the mono. Look up ed wards video on putting a loop in mono. It's on opst KZbin channel. Then attach to your backing via loop to loop and put it on your reel. Then do an identical knot in the front end and loop on your shooting head via loop to loop and you are good to go! Pro tip. Put your reel with the mono on it in a bowl of room temp water the night before you go fishing and them stretch it when you are by the river. It will have 0 memory and will cast like a dream if you do this.

Bought the 13,9 #9. Just needed a new 14ft, so I bought it unseen. The rod is a canon, with a lot of feel. Feels light as a 12,6 ft. My favourite doublehander!
