If said product doesn't sell out and you have way more products than demand its a loss for the small business a loss that they can't afford.

I’ve ordered 2 things online that I remember they both came with little notes about the person who packed it and it felt really personal and wholesome and I couldn’t bring myself to get rid of either, it’s been 4 years and still have them 😂. They were both bought from separate stores as well so I’m glad to see another small business add their own little personal touch for the person who ordered it to find ❤

To be honest, I've wondered this before, but it seems rude to say it out loud to anyone. I don't own a small business, so I figured there was something going on behind the scenes that I wouldn't understand. Thanks for explaining!

keep up the work girl. running a business is not easy. someone said as a potter you need to maximize production by making multiple batches at different periods. it's like how companies stock beer, cheese, etc. they used the analogy of "row row your boat" of how people loop the phrase but end at different times. if you make different batches at different times, while waiting for them to cure, it might be able to help with the process on keeping a flow, besides worrying about what to make now. if this isn't how soap made, bc i aint not soap expert, just ignore this and have a good day. keep up the work.

Haha not a bother! Yes! All soaps are for hands and body. Ones without fragrance can be used on face and hair

People need to understand why a business is a SMALL business. Even scaling up production just a little bit can massively impact the overhead cost of running a business. Hiring proper employees, renting storage to house product, and buying gear that makes production easier are all huge investments that some businesses just can't afford. It could make a profitable at home business into a business that loses money just to keep up with demand

Yah small businesses means fewer workers, people can only work so fast and process so much. The people that complain should try making something one day

I was thinking about starting to buy soaps from independent sellers, but the problem is you guys never have the sopes that you're showing that you've made. It's only a small selection of things that I didn't see mater. It wasn't anything at all like what you were showing or what anyone shows on this video. I've clicked the links to almost every single person's shops.Shops, but it's Always disappointing to see the selection that's offered

For my shop, I restock the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month. The soaps I show in the videos will be available in the upcoming restock ❤️
@jenniferfreese68166 күн бұрын
Is it disappointing to miss out on something you really want? Yes. But at the end of the day it’s hand crafted products being made by one or a few people. It’s the same thing with purchasing from Etsy, sometimes items go out of stock for a while, sometimes the shop goes on a break to catch up on orders or go on vacation or deal with family stuff. I’d imagine that’s the only two ways to go about it: 1) make stock and post what’s available on a set schedule or 2) work on commission basis and only take so many orders per “round.” I enjoy watching your videos and hope to someday (after we move to a bigger house with a guest bathroom) buy your soaps for guests to use at our house.

As a small business owner... this! I had to hand all digital communications over to my boyfriend. It was the best decision I have made in regard to the business. He has been such a blessing, and I have been freed up to create. It's hard to trust someone with aspects of your business, but it is so helpful when it is someone you can fully trust.

Unfortunately this is why I cant buy from small businesses. Theres slime shops I'd love to buy from too but I have work and family. I cant sit at my pc refrshing a store page every 2 seconds 😢 Your soap looks fantastic though.
@SheenaReine7 күн бұрын
because small businesses don’t usually have giant machines like large companies. i had a quite successful bath bomb business, but i lost my clean area to make it. i’m not selling soaps that could have cat hair, and the scents could kill my budgie. but even then, i was one person, you can only make so much. even 3 people, things take time.
@andrewdodge74587 күн бұрын
Your soap looks like art and id feel weird destroying it by rubbing my butt with it. That being said leaving a brick in a clothes drawer always has it smelling nice. What your favourite one?
@ashleyburbank31297 күн бұрын
😅 no those companies do it for supply and demand reasons and upcharge that's why they get in legal trouble also they have the capacity to create a larger amount of product so there's no reason for them not to especially when they can prove there is no lack of ingredients to make it. Small businesses in large businesses are not held to the same legal standards for many reasons.

Sigh... they'll complain about running water but if your equipment doesn't get perfectly clean the same folks would complain about product quality.

"WeLl JuSt MaKe mOrE" Bro where am I going to put it? Most artisinal products are made out of somebody's house, or of they're lucky and rather successful, a workshop. This means finite space, and while a bar of soap or an embroidered handkerchief might not take up a lot of space on their own, 1,000+ bars of soap or handkerchiefs, their associated packaging, the shipping containers, the materials and ingredients, the business records, and in their case filming equipment, has to go *somewhere* and that somewhere is taking up some of that finite space. They also still have to have an "open" or working area where they make the things.
