Beautiful footage right?! It's a video someone made at a Barbie exhibition. I came across it years ago and picked the best parts for this video but would also love to see the video in total. Have never been able to find it unfortunately.

You should do a video about TNTs and standards
@RolfEpple2 ай бұрын
This Skipper came only as a straight leg Taiwan TNT body Version. She has the straight legs, tnt waist and the Quick Curl Skipper arms, as a brunette and blonde doll. The bend leg version came with tnt waist, made in Korea and the Malibu Skipper painting on her face also her hair was the more stif coarse Malibu material. She wore the 2 piece trikot bikini in blue, same shape as the orange malibu version or the yelllow funtime version. NOTICE: The German booklet of that time shows the Skipper with bend legs, which was a prototype and never on the market.

If you want the hair to stay the way you styled it, wouldn't you boil set it before you tie on the ribbon? That way the "temporary" elastic would be able to be removed.

I have the bubblecut Barbie I received at Christmas, 1963. She's a brunette and reminds me of my beautiful mother. My Ken had dark blonde, painted hair. He looked like my dad.

Bedankt voor de info, het is een aardige puzzel die Bubblecuts. Uitspraaktipje: hairdo spreek je uit als hairdoe (net als het werkwoord to do).
@ABarbieCollector2 ай бұрын

I have a bubble cut from 1962 and the face sparkles. Do you have information on this?
@ABarbieCollector3 ай бұрын
I've done quite some research but I have no idea. The first ones have shiny faces but no sparkles. I assume some make-up done by a previous owner? But feel free to send me a photo, I'm very curious!

Hi! I really loved how informative your video was! Do you happen to know what kind of hair fibers were used for the bubblecuts? I really love the way they hold their shape even after so many years :) Also is the chart at 8:07 from a book? Thank you!

This is a helpful video! I found one of these transitional dolls at a yard sale and didn't know anything about vintage Barbies - just that I liked their look and wanted to find one someday. Though after bringing her home, I was initially sad at thinking her body was rotting when I removed her sweater to see a ghostly pale body. After looking into it I realized it was an older body, there was only one article I could find online mentioning transitional Barbies exist - but it's great to hear more about their history in your video. Thank you!
