I think I would have preferred a banana IV over potassium. 😂 It felt like my arm was on fire! I seriously considered taking the IV out of my arm. The nurse said it may sting and left. My arm was red and puffy so I had my husband flag down a different one. She turned off my fire drip. I loved her ❤

I worked nights when I was first out of school. After about 10 years, I decided to go to days. I was more surprised I didn't burst into flames than anything else. However, I will say, I HATE waking up early!

RN since 1971. Held various leadership roles. The last 15 years of my career i switched shifts - chose not to deal with adminstrative nonsense any longer. Now retired but once a nurse always a nurse & proud of it.
