Great to see you back amongst the fishes. It would be interesting to test the pH of those lakes. I bet it's as low as 5, basically just rainwater. It doesn't need to fall much below that for a few weeks to wipe out the trout food.

Thank you, sir. I'm sure the pH levels of those lakes are very low; but have never tested it. Thank you for watching and cheers.

Dietrich , you should stop catching little fellas and concentrate on just filming Cuan getting real fish ha ha...b.t.w. the wee barrel I made for your home brew is in fact holding now, so it's ready for the next batch of stout you're making .Drop in if you're heading for Dublin to pick it up , it'll add a bit of oak flavour to the taste.

Well done man , never give up ! Those stocked rainbows put up a good fight and you caught him on a Soldier Palmer , I know you have fished that fly for Salmon what size hook was used on this fly. It's never a bad idea to change up on fly selection when things are slow . I have a fly I named red headed sister it' it's an orange and reddish fly with a ginger hackle silver ribbed on a size 12 Daichi 1270 curved hook. I like it because I can see it well from a distance , It has saved my day a few times when things are slow . Hang in there Dietrich your persistence will pay off with a large Irish Brown trout, but you follow up on that with a nice pint , cheers !
