Peace to you & yours, I saw a meteor on my way home last week, it was marvelous! Quite surreal! It was a bright neon green from my perspective & I thought it was going to crash because it looked as if it was dipping but then it- vanished. I’ve been fascinated ever since & have been doing my research, study, & verifying - everything! Thank you for your precious time- Be well! Lady Nafeesah Hope

While employed with the Forest Service in the Jim Bridger Wilderness in western Wyoming, I found a meteorite that looks exactly like the NWX xxx at minute 6:05 while building trail. Left it in place b/c it was illegal to take it and keep it!! Makes me wonder if someone else got it!!

LIBS Thank You - great show as always , If things go right , I hope to join some day. I've been told by the meteorite lab in Massachusetts that I cut really well , and that my microscope photography is top notch. But , I was also told ... sorry , Not a meteorite LOL! I use a diamond blade w pure water and alcohol mix , Leica optics , My light source is pure monochromatic leds in every wavelength w variable brightness and variable polarizer for each light. I. have never looked at meteorites and meteor wrongs under UV light , Is that a thing ? Thank you everyone. I have a large rock that I think is a meteorite , a weak magnet sticks to it , I see shiny metal flecks all through out the cut face , very heavy , dense , appears to have a fusion crust BUT , It seems to be 95% homogenous rock material with 5% metal , I'm going to try an etch it today w Nitric acid just to see if that reveals anything. I think it looks like a H6 ? I won't bug you guys unless I'm certain. lol!

I might’ve actually witnessed the Chandler meteorite on its way down. I used to work at a restaurant near the mall. One night while having a break outside i heard a crackling rumbling. I looked up and watched a meteorite cross right overhead very low and slow. It had brilliant purple blue pieces breaking off as it went overhead. Very colorful and very exciting.

What an electrifying accounting of the event you witnessed. Truly hard to say if that was the Chandler stone, but man would I love to dream of that being true! Thanks for commenting and sharing - very cool.

@@TopherspinMeteorites It was about 2009 if i recall correctly. Could’ve been earlier though. I witnessed another one equally as impressive around 1997 or 1998 in Ahwatukee, just south of Chandler. Came in on fire breaking apart as it headed towards South Mountain. The sound of it is what caught my attention this time also.

This is a great show so informative. I have what I believe to be a chondrites that I found in Saudi Arabia. Can you tell me please how I can prove it is one or not. I live in the UK and am quite happy to pay for any scientific analysis but just don’t know how to go about it. Thanks for your time and keep up the good work Richard

Hi, I have a rock (?) that my dad found some time ago with a metal detector. After a quick research on google (I know it's not very reliable) we came to conclusion that it might be a meteorite. It would be nice if you could give me some ways to verify that, because I don't know if I should just throw it out. Additionally could you tell me if it's alright for me to crack it open either way? Cause I'm not sure if it would be bad if it turned out to actually be a meteorite.

Hey Domyan! That's a great meteorite. We have a package for you, so if you do end up making a purchase, maybe Sue can ship her stuff to Mark and have them bundle it together. (If it's not too much trouble for them) By the way, you must make a $500.00 purchase to be eligible for the raffle prize which is worth $5,000! You also must have your order paid for by the time the raffle starts. I am not sure yet when Mark is holding the raffle, but I think on Saturday night. Please reach out to Mark or on Facebook to submit your order, if you haven't done so already!

Peace be upon you, I misunderstood the matter. I asked you a question. I did not publish any piece, nor did I read any piece. On your piece of wool, I document my piece. What I mean is, when there is a large quantity of one type, does it affect the price of the piece?
@TopherspinMeteorites8 күн бұрын
My piece of wool? Like from a sheep? I honestly have no idea what you are trying to ask me. I am so sorry.
