I don’t know what I would do without seeing an electrical box, your keys, and the water bottles you use for showering. It would be like someone wanting a tour of my home and me showing them where I decided to keep my pickles in the refrigerator.

Thanks for your creative and clear camera angles on the video. We have Yanmar 2017 SD-60 saildrives on our catamaran and the manual recommends an oil change every 250 hours or once a year - same as the oil change schedule on the main engines (4jh57). I use the same brand vacuum pump and it comes with enough extension tubes to place the pump on top of the engine making it comfortable to pump out all 2.8L in each saildrives. Even with using tape to seal the pump hose to the built in hose that goes to the bottom of the saildrive, it still sucks up a lot of air with the oil making it a far more tedious process that when vacuum pumping up the main engine 5.5l oil which is located on same side and about same level. But eventually all the oil comes out. It sure is much easier to change the saildrive oil on the dry which we do every 2 years. Yanmar recommends 15W40 long lasting premium oil for both the engine and the saildrive making it easier to purchase and manage.

I see you're using SAE 90 there. I've been told that's not ideal but could be wrong on that.

This is great thank you. For years I tried to find a book in the boating book shops that offered good places to visit with a trailer Sailer. There ain't any! This type of video could easily be made into a series for sale and give some indication of places to stop, stay with public moorings etc. Keep up the good work I'm watching and enjoying. Thanks again.

Thanks Norm. Yes its amazing that there isnt a NSW Trailer Sailer page on facebook, at least wasnt last time I looked. Other states seem to have pretty active trailer sailer pages. Glad to hear you enjoyed it.

@@SailingLaguna It's not easy being a Victorian. You're forced to look people in the eye and tell them how much better Melbourne is than Sydney, all the while knowing about the Harbour and all of the fantastic waterways surrounding Sydney, and the boating culture that goes with them. You guys are spoilt, up there! And you have done a fantastic job of capturing your spoils and sharing them with others. Well done. Thank you for the content.

@@davidbrayshaw3529 Thanks for the kind words David. Our travels have really hammered it home just how lucky we are to have such amazing waterways in this part of the world. And so many public places to access the waterfront.

Hi I have just come across your video of Melody Maker, the original owners where as you guessed roger and Shirley, they did indeed hail from Geelong, they moved up to the Lake Macquarie area in the late 80,s early 90,s they were active members of the Newcastle and Hunter Trailable Yacht Association who are based around the Styles point area on Lake Macquarie, they sold the boat some time ago and got involved with the volunteer coast guard at Swansea, from what I know of them they have moved to Tasmania and I have had no contact with them for years, the photo on your bulkhead was taken on a cruise to the Whitsundays, hope this helps some with the history of your Sonata 7, if you live in the Hunter area look up the NHTYA website and maybe turn up on a club cruise or race weekend, cheers Chris
