Hi I was thinking could I use a plaster bandage for the mould intead?

you mean instead of the silicon? the cosplay foam clay might stick to the walls of the plaster, maybe you can brush the walls with vasoline before hand, but it might get sloppy.

it dries soft like foam, not hard like clay, it's good for details and costumes.

You have to! and if you have kids, (judging by your name you do) you should bring them, even if they're too young for the movie. The figures and puppets are so amazing.

it's the built in microphone, since the firmware update it's gotten better.

Is there a particular type of nylon mesh that you used to strengthen the mask?

I'm not even sure, I bought a small roll at a fabric store a few years ago doing diy silkscreen with glue. As long as it's not too thin, it'll work fine, but not too thick and heavy either because that might not glue well onto the foam, it might peel off. Goodluck!
