Im 6'3 and the suspension I have I feel is pretty dialed. I have a 19 Road Glide set up with same bars and risers and tree you have. My rear suspension is 13 inch fox shocks and the front is Racetech suspension with gold valve emulators and it handles great.
@Six5Rider9 күн бұрын
Awesome! That sounds like a sweet setup. Hoping I can find someone to help dial it in.
@tonniecate42319 күн бұрын
@@Six5Rider Its pretty easy. I just got the Racetech kit with the 1.3 springs and took my forks off and dropped them off to get installed. The rear fox I have are the IFP shocks with no compression or rebound but you can preload for your weight. Its a great set up. The cost is very reasonable as well.

Nice job but still a little scary. I have a very similar situation. What about loading the bike rear 1st so you could just ride it off the truck?
@Six5Rider9 күн бұрын
Thank you and thanks for watching. I personally would not back it into a truck, loading it up sounds like it would be nightmarish, but also unloading it doesn't sound any better. I feel like you'd lose some balance since it would be hard to balance the front wheel while coming off the truck. Let me know if you end up doing it like that and how it works out for you.

Nice to hear about the seats. I am 6'4" and searched for the perfect seat. I was very close to a Saddlemen SDC Pro but worried about not having enough leg stretch. Since I ride 2up a lot, I choose the Saddlemen Road Sofa Carbon Fiber Extended Reach. I absolutely LOVE it. It was great after the first ride. It even looks sporty compared to most comfortable seats. The gel completely eliminated the road ripples. The seat is firm but not hard at all

I have a meteor 350 from royal enfield, does my battery has enough electricity to work the kuryakyn speaker properly?
@Six5Rider13 күн бұрын
I appologize, I don't have that info for your bike. I believe the Kuryakyn website has a minimum batter voltage that you can check to see if you bike can handle it. I would expect that it should be fine since it's most likely a 12v battery, but don't quote me on it. Good luck!

I've been looking at my GROM battery for days trying t figure out WTF to do, and what's funny is the orange wire is probably the most complicated of the install because everybody knows how to connect the battery + and -, and all the videos show that, but they just literally all skip the orange wire details, I have been super frustrated, I thought I was the one missing something, but thank you for explaining and showing this!!!! Hey man in the last four years I've bought 4 bikes. I've bought another bike every year because the bike from the previous year had major issues shortly after purchase. Granted the bikes were not brand new or even near new but, every one of them were supposedly new engines or fresh rebuilt engines and/or transmission. One bike I only rode 80 miles. I bought it from a dealership, older bike but new built engine. A lifter came apart and went through the engine. The dealership would not lift a finger. All I got out of them was a smirk. Bought another bike. Couple hundred miles and started getting some noise. Replaced compensator with dark horse, even more noise. Had trans rebuilt at dealership, even more noise. I finally got the shop foreman, that did the work on the trans, if he ever checked the crank run out like I kept asking him to do while he had bike apart doing the trans. He said " oh yeah, let me think, ya, it was .009" " I was mad as hell. Very first thing I told him to do was check run out, when he was rebuilding the trans. Which as a harley mechanic he should have known to look at a twin cams crank run out first anyway. So, he knew my crank was shot and he continued to rebuild my trans ( which didn't really need rebuilt, once it was found the crank was bad ) then charged me $2,200. Sente down the road, not telling me the crank was bad. Rode about 1000 miles, ended up tearing up the oil pump, cam plate, cams blah blah blah. Other bike I bought was a 98'evo ultra. Had a noise. I took it to a shop. Asked shop to rebuild engine. Said I wanted all best parts, no China garbage. I wanted to take the bike on a couple year long trip and I wanted everything as new and reliable as possible. He hady bike about a year, 9-10 months longer than promised. Caused me to miss all types of obligations and responsibilities I had agreed to. Had to have him re do engine 3 times. The first 2 times the bike didn't even make it out of the shops parking lot before the engine came apart. Third time the bike didn't run right or hardly at all. I was done dealing with the shop so I trailered it home. By that point I was broke from dealing with that shop and bike still doesn't run right. Now I have in my garage 4 fully dressed harleys the each were bought to travel all over north america for a several year long trip. None of them run right couple don't run at all. Have several 10s of thousands in them at this point. I've spent 5+ years trying to get this show on the road. I was ready to start the trip 4+ years ago. I just kept having a combination of terrible luck with bikes and people royalty screwing me.

I have an enclosed trailer and a folding motorcycle trailer but prefer if I bring only one bike to throw it in the bed of the truck. I also got an 8ft folding ramp that allows me to put any of my bikes in the truck bed even though my truck is lifted with 33inch tires. I also got a spare backup camera and wire to mount on my bed extender. This allows me to use my backup camera when the tailgate is down!

That’s the biggest bike they got. If you can’t ride that one, then you don’t belong on any bike. I’m 6’7” and I have no problem at all. Fits like a glove. If the foot pegs are too small, just get bigger ones. I’m really curious on what bike you right now.
