It would have been more interesting if Evan and Connor had really been so close that Connor shared his thoughts to that extent.

Why are all these comments about how sweet Evan is? Did we not watch the same musical? This man is taking advantage of grieving people because he didn’t want to confront Connor’s parents and tell them that Connor didnt write the letter. As soon as they found out it was a lie they had to grieve for an entirely new person Because the one they where grieving for before is not real

Just watched Dear Evan Hansen after coming across this. I love this song and your animation a lot more now

The sad part about this is that Evan was just truly in love with this girl and living the life he didn't had through Zoe. Iwthout knowing it, he had now been given a Mom who was more than just there, and he now had a Dad. At this poin tin the story, Zoe was confused and she wasn't sad her brother died, becuase he was a jerk to her. Evan telling her all of this wasn't. a confession to her. To her, it was giving her the feeling of grieving, and giving her hope that her brother really did love her before he died..

i remember multiple years ago i watched this or another animatic and commented how i originally thought this was her brother having a “gay” love for his sister. god, was the homophobia and misinformation strong. at this time i was very close with my neighbors, who are extremely homophobic and lump incest in with being gay, and so that’s what i thought. i sincerely apologize, and i fairly recently (within two years or smth) finally accepted the fact that i like women, and more genders, questioning both my gender and sexuality constantly, but yeah. old account was named either like Ewalu5668 or Shydragon322, not sure which or if it even exists anymore

I got an entire story arc idea for my characters based off of this song. I'll give you context for the characters, and describe the story arc. Amethyst, an alien from the planet Ademoid, suddenly woke up on earth with their brother, Felix. They were offered hospitality by a man with a lot of scars, Gray. However, Gray was really a bounty hunter sent to eliminate all life on Ademoid and just had to kill Amethyst and Felix to get their job done. Felix was killed in a horrible way as Amethyst could only watch. Amethyst managed to survive after being left to die and was taken in by the Framel family, only consisting of Lisa Framel and Cameron Framel. Amethyst has abilities linked to photos and is a photographer in their spare time. They use hormones to keep their appearance androgynous. Violet, a strange girl who can see ghosts and has hidden wings, was scarred at a young age from seeing her father and sister get brutally murdered, and watching her mother run away in order to escape. Violet was brought into the care of her aunt, Margaret, who absolutely hated her. Violet found joy in art until her dreams were crushed when Margaret snapped all her canvases in half and threw her paints into the fireplace. She developed depression and started drawing on her arms in the form of scars, as that was the only way she could do art. When she suddenly reunited with her mother, who was there all along, she suddenly woke up one morning to find a pair of twins in her arms, no pregnancy or anything. She decided to take the twins, Elizabeth and Paul, into her care and she gained the energy to fight her way out of depression and pursue her passion for art. The story arc starts with Violet acting strangely around someone, and people notice this. They start to worry that she's falling into depression again until it's noticed that she's blushing at times and shows general signs of having a crush. Her friends start trying to figure out who she's fallen for without asking because they know she'll just deny it. As the story continues, hints about who Violet's fallen for are slowly dropped, until, at the end of the arc, when Violet confesses, it's revealed that it's Amethyst. This shocks a lot of people because they didn't think Violet would take such a chance. Edit: You're wondering where the song itself comes in, right? Well, Violet happens to sometimes make music. She sang to Amethyst about their brother. Amethyst and Felix were pretty close but never really opened up to each other about things, which is why I got this idea.
