I was wondering if you can use rthe buffing sticks for stropping. I have a box of the buffing compound sticks. Sometimes I will de-rust and polish the blade before sharpening.

hey thanks for posting your BuckVantage Pro mods. I just got a Buck Vantage Pro small size in S30V. I did some of the same things that that you did. the knife was used and the tip of the blade had been broken off so I ground down the spine to make a new tip. That was a lot of work with a stone but the knife blade looks more aggressive now so I am pleased with that. I rounded off the G10 edges so the knife is much more comfortable in hand now. I also opened up the access to the lock area and now finger flipping is much easier. With some work this changed from a knife that I only wanted to sell into a knife I will never sell.

What part of the California code governs trot lines? Are you certain they are illegal? Without seeing the code, I could imagine it going either way... it's illegal to mess with people's traps, for example, if they are legal traps. Obviously that's a different section of law, but it's an example where it would not be okay to do something similar. So again, I'm just wondering what part of the California code governs trot lines. I tried to google it but couldn't find it.
