Это была политическая игра со стороны России в 2017 году. Украина выиграла в 2016 году когда Россия была фаворитом, соответственно они проводили Евро в 2017,и россияне решили внутренним отбором, не спрашивая чьё либо мнение, отправить певицу, вызывающую жалость, держа в голове что Украина бы её точно не пустила из за нарушения закона. Соответственно, намеренно создать такой прецедент, демонизирующий Украину, и это получилось технически. Проблема в том, что им пришлось доигрывать этот спектакль годом позже, не могли же они просто забыть про неё и выбрать кого то нового. Пришлось выбирать снова её, тоже внутренне. Ну и как тут это было, мы все видели.

I have never understood why jury and tele even need to watch different performances, wouldn’t it be more fair for jury and tele to watch the exact same performances? Does the jury need more time to set the points?

Yeah, they want time to count jury points. Also, the jury show is another rehearsal and another show with audience buying tickets. And it's like the most official rehearsal, where they try to sort out the most of problems, check the scoreboard and spokespersons and etc

Honestly big respect for putting Germany and Latvia as high as you did. They definitely aren’t my favourites of the year (25th and 26th) but they fully deserved their results in the final, and people don’t even give Isaak and Dons half the credit they deserve bc they pulled out fantastic performances. i feel like the lyrics for shine reference the russia-ukraine war where it actually start in 2014 the lyrics "waiting for a brand new start", "closer to the crime cross the line a step at a time", "maybe there's a day you be mine", "Now something's got to give", "open up your heart, let me in", and "no one's gonna bring me down" kind of give me that impression. to me, it's like russia decided to be a belarus 2021 before 2021 where they sent a song with subtle lyrics to allude to them wanting to take over crimea and other parts of ukraine

Corrupted choices were the Netherlands, Denmark, and Greece. Everything about Poland is a lie, lol. There's nothing corrupted about it, plus, at least, her song was great, while those 3 were boring as hell, and her vocals were clearly better than theirs. But interesting Top, though. Poland, Belgium and Croatia could of course be higher.

@escserg6731 I'd add Georgia. They made up an X Factor competition, where she was the obvious winner, and then, her song wasn't even good, especially its lyrics were bad. Better they should have announced her as the winner and the song earlier (without fake casting show), so there was still enough time to change the lyrics, like Ukraine did in 2014, for example. Or what do you think about Spain nominating their own (former) employee? There's inconsistencies everywhere. And juries are normally corrupt, and their expertise should be put into question. And there's countless examples of juries putting entries down or letting other entries arise. Ever since 1956.
