The strange thing is, I finished this book 3 days ago and since then I watched a lot of reviews good or bad, and I agree all of them 😂 The book is totally getting into my nerves but at the same time while reading it I enjoyed so much and loving it. Well at the end this series will stuck with me forever with all the goods and bads. 🫰

Well I did enjoy this book but I agree with most of what you said. The perfect man/ power couple thing, and the very stupid mating bond. Bleh. 😆

6:40 I was also upset Choal didn’t 💀. Again I loved Choal so dearly and I felt like after him being treated awfully and written to be a bitter lost petty person I was like, at least give him this because obviously Maas hated him. But know kept alive for plot and stuck with a forced ( almost natural) romance with by Maas’ writing is the second most powerful character behind Dorian??? (I don’t mind her being so, it just felt haphazardly put together)
@kakigori_baby10 ай бұрын
3:40 about the “perfect pairs” point, it irritates me greatly. she had characters that deserved an epic romance (Choal, Lysandra, Astrein, and others) and she just forced love on them, yrene is a lovely character but she was literally written just for Choal’s development (just like Nehemia’s 💀 was written for Aelin’s development). Forced pairs like manon and Dorian, lysandra and aedion, took space. We could’ve explored interesting pairings like Choal and Dorian (explains the reason Choal followed devotedly to keep Dorian safe/rightful king: blind love of course), any witch pairings would have been great, elide and manon (even though I actually really liked elide and lorcan- until I didn’t). We could’ve had a blooming romance for lysandra finding the love she declared she wanted with any minor existing character no problem. Instead we were treated with abusive/ignorant males treating the women love interests as garbage, calling them out on it, and then the female characters declare their love for them. (More ranting below) I would’ve rather Aedion be treated like Choal was treated by Aelin. I had always liked Choal and it took many fans to see his (existing) great traits only after tower of dawn. The misunderstanding and Aelin’s wild blaming and then bickering when met again was uncalled for. (I get it Maas, you love Rowan so we have to hate Choal?) but Aedion hates lysandra for being just as obedient/loyal to Aelin as he is and then calls her useless and doesn’t care for her until she was about to 💀… rude. Lysandra should’ve left him and leaving him to his “primal” fae temper tantrums to fester (because he is written badly, to not be a changed man and make hot headed decisions)

Good chat! I have also spent ssoooooo much time and energy on book reviews on Goodreads that I have become a bit worried that all my reviews have no backup. I recently tried WordPress, but most of my intent is to keep my reviews and keep track of the books I have, and Wordpress does not seem to give me access to older blogs. Recently I have been watching youtubers book blogging and though I don't love the idea of videoing myself it kind of looks like it is a more reliable option.

I had to stop watching your vid because I’m only half way through the book and don’t want too many spoilers but I have literally been ranting myself about all this same stuff. The sex scenes are so horrible I start to cringe everytime Rhys and feyre are in a room alone together beciaze im afraid they’ll start having sex. I’m really disappointed because I loved the 1st book so much and then SJM decided to totally assassinate tamlins character and then spend the next two books propping up Rhys. I’m taking a break from it right now to regather my patience 😢

May I ask which platform (website) you use to host your book blog?
@carolinejohn59902 жыл бұрын
Omg, same. I haven't been a fan of Feyre or Rhys. I felt like Feyre changed her character completely after getting powers from other High lords. It's like she can do anything. Rather talking it out with Tamlin, she schemes a plan to destroy him. It was Hybren and Ianthe that she had to fight .argh...this was my first trilogy of Sarah's. Except for ACOTAR rest were all meh. And the word 'Mate' traumatized me. We get it. He is your mate. 😑
@reneeforrester2 жыл бұрын
Agreed, she honestly completely overreacted to tamlin, like really you want to use your energy destroying him? Bigger fish out there right now. Tamlin was also more interesting than Rhys , unpopular opinion

Thank you for your review. I finished the series last week and i was totally disapointed with the ending. It was a ruined potantiel. I think the author tried to make something different and unexpected but she couldn’t handle it. Malyen had trust issues and toxic talking until the end but Alina ended up with him???? I’m just sad for The Darkling’s ruined character. I don’t ship her with Nikolai because she doesn’t deserve him hahahaha

this was nice! I have a question, i want to start a book blog and connect to different platforms too like goodreads, netgalley, etc. but I find that I won’t really get audience or any growth unless I promote my blog by having a platform on Instagram cause that’s what most bloggers have too and it helps the most but the problem is I am incapable of taking photos of the books I read and I read a lot of ebooks too, I don’t know any other way? It’s not possible to own a bookstagram if I can’t post any photos like everyone else?

I've just finished Whisper and Weapon. Loved both books. The premise of words used as weapons, with the power increasing when the words are spoken with intent is so true. Great work, Lynette.

Many people actually love warcross, I personally love it and I love the plot and all, it’s really capturing to the reader. I believed the details were just fine and the romance was actually cute. The sun is also a star is actually great, the romance wasn’t moving fast, the guy was actually trying to prove that people can fall in love in a short time so that was basically the whole point of the book
