First Church In Pembroke
Through our sermons we are eager to share with you the story of the faith and freedom that is First Church In Pembroke, founded in 1712 in Massachusetts, a member of the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches (NACCC). First Church has a famous history that includes being one of the first congregations to have a woman in the pulpit in the nineteenth century as well as an early acceptance for the native peoples of the area. We are also the historic home of the Pembroke Resolves, declared three years before the Declaration of Independence. Today we build upon that legacy as an independent Christian congregational church governed only by membership elected volunteers for the benefit of all people in Pembroke and the surrounding towns. We are open to all who seek to know Jesus Christ. Through teaching and listening, reading and doing, we honor His life as we strive to live our Christian life. Jesus's first words to his disciples were "Follow me."
