How enlightening for younger generations to see we have declined and sad for those all those white privileged workers going to do a days work thinking they were paying taxes and National Insurance to help build our nation so that politicians of all colours to throw the boarders open to any chancer to take advantage of our generosity.....then to find that nations wealth has been squandered away so now they are pensioners there is no heating allowance for them. IT DISGUSTS ME

Beats me why posters upload these videos. The comments section immediately fills up with whinging racists droning on about how life was 'better' then. Even though most of them were kids or not yet born at all. Apparently they all had some 'Alf Garnett' granddad to told them about it.

People dressed much more smartly back then by the looks of it. And how refreshing to see a crowd of people none of whom are gawping at a smartphone screen.

I find individuals who are overly attached to their mobile phones to be very bothersome and irritable, as they appear to be detrimental to society and contribute to its decline.

So very sad to see our capital as it was in the '60's a golden decade and how it has become now . Used to travel up to London as a kid as a special treat but now as an oldie l would'nt venture anywhere near it because of the hell hole it has become .

Yes, London trams ceased to run in 1952, before being brought back to Croydon more recently.

the sequence at the end with the electric trolley buses and the Victoria hotel I think is Amsterdam, or possibly another part of Europe, but not London.

Correct, trams stopped running in London in 1952, trolleybuses in 1962. Trams now run in Croydon, they were introduced recently.

Yet another potentially interesting video ruined by screen encrusted words. In London in 1966 there were never any words encrusted on its scenes needless to say, so why now?

I wonder what it smelled like? Maybe someone in the world still has a bottle? I found this but it's a new version. The aromatic, fresh and spicy fragrance of James Bond 007 Pour Homme is a woody and aromatic scent for men. Launched in 2020, this perfume comes from the house of Eon Production. At the start are notes from mint, ice and black pepper. The heart is blooming with floral notes of cedar, rosemary and lavender, while the base is charming with hints from vetiver, amber and patchouli.

Lovely walk down memory lane. Pity that as usual many people use these videos as excuses to express right wing comments about ethnicity.
@carlgrove8793Ай бұрын
@@robinlarge1630 I agree, but as I'm sure you know (and there are a few examples below) some people do bring in ethnicity and religion almost automatically when this kind of video is posted. One says "not a Moslem in sight," which is daft since they don't have it stuck on their foreheads. If they were to say, "there are now a lot of extremist Islamists in London," that might be a valid observation. (The irony is that the people who created these awful types were the CIA, who, during the invasion of Afghanistan, trained people to do violence to the Russians "because they were atheists and against Islam." After the end of that war the movement grew because they now saw the West as equally irreligious, culminating in 9-11 and the rise of the Taliban.. "Blowback" as they say.)

You are welcome to pretend you don't notice the changes but other people do notice.
@carlgrove879323 күн бұрын
Of course I see changes -- a far more cosmopolitan crowd than there used to be, 99% of them behaving perfectly well and very few people (mostly Christian) trying to promote religion. Now that I can't get into London I watch a lot of KZbin London Walk videos so I have a pretty good idea of what's happening. Would I want to go down to London again (if I could afford the crazy train fares)? Getting too old, to be honest, and I'm OK just watching and downloading the videos!
